With the first generational leap in rocket engine technology since Apollo, our proprietary Rotating Detonation Rocket Engine and Venus Detonation Ramjets deliver historic efficiency and performance across aerospace applications. We are building the next generation of propulsion platforms that enable breakthrough capabilities in space, defense, and commercial high-speed flight. Our team thrives on solving the toughest engineering challenges and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in aerospace. At Venus, we’re looking for bold engineers and innovators who want to make history and redefine the future of propulsion.\nThe Role: Network & RF Administrator\nAs a Network & RF Administrator at Venus Aerospace, you will support the network and communications infrastructure used across both our day-to-day operations and remote field activities. This is a hands-on technical role for someone who can work across traditional IP networking and RF communications, applying practical troubleshooting skills wherever those technologies intersect.\nFor much of the year, you will work alongside the IT team supporting enterprise network operations and infrastructure projects. During field activities, that same networking foundation will extend into RF communications as you help deploy and operate temporary ground sites supporting data connectivity with vehicles in flight. Success in this role requires technical versatility, strong independent troubleshooting skills, and a willingness to work hands-on with equipment in both enterprise and outdoor field environments.\nWhat You'll Get To Do\nConfigure and troubleshoot enterprise switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless networks, including VLANs, link aggregation, Layer 2/Layer 3 connectivity, and site-to-site VPNs \nInstall, terminate, test, label, troubleshoot, and maintain copper and fiber network cabling, patch panels, network racks, and related physical infrastructure \nDeploy, configure, operate, and troubleshoot RF data communications equipment, radio systems, antennas, and associated RF cabling \nSet up, operate, troubleshoot, and tear down temporary field communications sites, including network infrastructure, radios, portable antenna systems, IP cameras, cabling, and related equipment \nIntegrate IP-based radio systems with Ethernet and fiber networks and troubleshoot connectivity across both network and RF portions of the communications path \nPerform pre-deployment testing and validation of network, RF, and field communications equipment to ensure systems are ready for field operations \nTroubleshoot complex communications issues across physical cabling, Ethernet networks, switching and routing, radio equipment, RF cabling, antennas, and the RF path \nImplement network changes and infrastructure improvements while independently managing smaller networking and communications projects \nMonitor network health, performance, and availability using monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively identify and resolve issues \nMaintain centralized network configuration management systems and ensure configuration consistency across network devices \nDevelop and maintain network and RF documentation, diagrams, equipment configurations, deployment procedures, and operational documentation \nPerform routine maintenance, firmware upgrades, and lifecycle management of network and communications equipment \nWhat You Have\n4+ years of hands-on experience across networking, RF communications, or related technical infrastructure roles \nMeaningful hands-on experience installing, operating, configuring, or troubleshooting RF communications systems and associated equipment \nPractical understanding of RF fundamentals, antenna systems, signal propagation, and RF troubleshooting \nExperience administering or troubleshooting enterprise IP networks, with hands-on experience supporting network infrastructure such as switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, or wireless networks \nStrong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, switching, routing, and subnetting \nExperience troubleshooting technical problems across multiple systems and methodically isolating the source of connectivity or communications failures \nExperience working with copper and fiber network infrastructure and performing hands-on installation and troubleshooting \nBasic familiarity with server, application, and end-user troubleshooting, with strong communication and customer service skills when working across technical teams and with users \nAbility and willingness to perform hands-on work at temporary outdoor field sites in varying weather conditions, including moving and deploying equipment, erecting portable antenna systems, and installing network, RF, and camera equipment at varying heights \nWhat Will Set You Apart\nExperience using RF test and diagnostic equipment such as spectrum analyzers, antenna/cable analyzers, RF power meters, or vector network analyzers \nExperience with software-defined radios or other IP-based radio communications systems \nExperience troubleshooting RF performance issues involving interference, signal levels, antenna systems, line-of-sight, or RF path conditions \nExperience supporting point-to-point or wireless network links in enterprise or field environments \nExperience planning or contributing to network, RF, or communications infrastructure deployments and improvements \nExperience evaluating RF link performance using link budgets, antenna gain, system losses, signal levels, and path characteristics","description_format":"text","description_chars":5601,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":4,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Aerospace
