We know that everyone here at Veolia can help us work alongside our communities, look after the environment, and contribute to our inclusive culture.\nWhat we can offer you;\n25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays\n\nRefer an Engineer to us once you’ve joined and earn £1000\n\nAccess to our company pension scheme\n\nFree physiotherapy service\n\nDiscounts on everything from groceries to well known retailers\n\nAccess to a range of resources to support your physical, mental and financial health; so you can lean on us whenever you need to\n\n24 hour access to a virtual GP, 365 days a year, for you and family members in your household\n\nOngoing training and development opportunities, allowing you to reach your full potential.\n\nWhat you'll be doing;\nTranslate and develop conceptual designs into CAD drawings, including: GA's, Planning Drawings, 3D arrangements, Layout drawings, Setting out drawings, SLD’s, PFD and P&ID for water and wastewater treatment infrastructure using AutoCAD/Revit & other relevant CAD software.\n\nProduce BOM listings to enable specifications, calculations and component selection to be undertaken by others.\n\nTake responsibility for ensuring that conceptual design and tender preparation documents are provided to meet the project timescales and necessary quality standards.\n\nCollaborate with Project teams to create, update & manage BIM Models in accordance with project requirements & industry standards.\n\nUtilise a Common Data Environment (CDE) to ensure accurate data management, version control & efficient project collaboration.\n\nWork in the Engineering Team to provide both consultative design support and in some instances supporting the installation and construction phase of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.\n\nTo produce project specific installation specifications in order to obtain competitive installation quotations from local M&E contractors. This may include the production of appropriate 2D and/or 3D drawings (Layouts, General Arrangements, planning and piping drawings) for water treatment assets and associated pipework systems.\n\nCreate 3D renders for use in bid documentation.\n\nGenerate, import & work with LiDAR scans in CAD using Trimble X9 Scanner\n\nLiaise with Mechanical & Electrical Design Engineers in identifying the project requirements and on the development of the detailed design for water and wastewater schemes.\n\nSupport and assist in the development stage of a project taking responsibility for ensuring that conceptual design and tender preparation documents are provided in accordance with required timescales and quality standards.\n\nWhat we're looking for;\nPrevious CAD experience 2D & 3D.\n\nExperience with creating P&ID & layout drawings, ideally within the UK water/wastewater sector.\n\nExperience working in the UK Water Industry with knowledge of modelling water/wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, and associated mechanical, electrical, and piping systems (MEP).\n\nExperience in producing designs for both above-ground (non-infrastructure) and below-ground (infrastructure) water assets, such as treatment works, pumping stations, and pipeline networks.\n\nExperience using LiDAR data within CAD models.\n\nRelevant engineering qualification, i.e. Degree, HNC/ HND or equivalent.\n\nKnowledge of CDM (Construction (Design and Management) Regulations) and applying the principles of designing for safety.\n\nProficient in using AutoCAD/Revit & other relevant CAD Software (e.g., AutoCAD Plant 3D, Civil 3D).\n\nExperience with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and the integration of geospatial data with CAD models is desirable.\n\nKnowledge of BIM processes & standards (ISO 19650).\n\nExperience with Common Data Environments (e.g Viewpoint, BIM360/ACC or Projectwise).\n\nUnderstanding of the asset data lifecycle and experience in preparing models and drawings for digital handover that meet client asset information requirements (AIR).\n\nExperience using LiDAR equipment\n\nFamiliarity with UK water company specifications and standards (e.g., WIMES, Sewers for Adoption) would be highly advantageous.\n\nStrong communication skill & ability to work effectively in a team environment.\n\nAbility to manage multiple projects & prioritise workload.\n\nAble to adapt to new technologies & software as required.\n\nWhat’s next?\nApply today, so we can make a difference for generations to come.\nWe're proud to have been named as one of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work for three consecutive years in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
