Ensuring the delivery of customer focused high quality services in line with the Council's expectations\nTo Drive a vehicle up to 7.5 tonnes and to operate a mechanical broom although training will be given to the individual. \nTo work alone or as part of a team\nTo ensure that the tasks are completed to schedule, and report any discrepancies immediately to your Foreman or Manager\nAt the start of each shift and prior to leaving the depot, check your equipment to ensure it is in good condition and exchange damaged or worn-out items. \nEmpty litterbins found within your beat, ensuring that the liners are replaced properly and bins locked back up. \nTo ensure that all accidents that occur during the shift are reported fully to your Foreman/Manager, to the Police if appropriate and that accident reports are completed before you leave work. \nTo maintain a courteous and professional relationship with members of the public, client staff and colleagues. \nTo comply with Health and Safety legislation, in particular adherence to relevant company Codes of Practices and Policies relating to safe working procedures at all times. \nReport locations of any fly-tipping, graffiti, fly-posting, or damaged/missing litter bins to your Foreman. \nWhen needed undertake the necessary daily checks as per the Drivers/Operator handbook and comply with all traffic laws and legislation with relation to your duties including the security and weight of loads \nWhat we’re looking for;\nEssential:\nCPC Qualification is essential\nValid driving licence\nPrevious experience in a similar role. \nAbility to Work on own initiative as well as part of a team\nGood organisation skills\nReliable, punctual and customer orientated \nGood communication skills\nDesirable:\nPrevious Waste experience\nWhat’s next?\nApply today, so we can make a difference for generations to come.\nWe're proud to have been named as one of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work for three consecutive years in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
