We are seeking an experienced EHS Manager to join our team in the Beaumont/ Port Arthur, TX area.\nAs our Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager, you’ll play a key leadership role ensuring in protecting employees, ensuring environmental compliance and driving continuous improvement across our operations.\nThe EHS Manager will oversee environmental compliance programs, including air permitting and emissions management, wastewater, and stormwater compliance, hazardous waste management, environmental monitoring, regulatory reporting, and permit compliance assurance. If you like the idea of doing meaningful work with a company that’s on a mission to create a cleaner, more sustainable world for us all, here’s more!\nKey Responsibilities:\nLead and manage a variety of EHS requirements and compliance implementation which includes regulations, air permitting, wastewater permitting and treatment and hazardous waste.\n\nPartner with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and other site personnel to incorporate environmental requirements into operating procedures, maintenance activities, capital projects, and Management of change processes.\n\nCoordinate environmental inspections, and interactions with regulatory agencies, including preparations for inspections/audits, responses to findings, and tracking of required corrective actions.\n\nInitiate and influence integration of EHS policies and practices into the business.\n\nKnowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM)\n\nSecurity - Responsible for security of property and materials and alignment with DHS requirements\n\nKey User of HSES Suite (Gensuite) for reporting and tracking Incidents, Near Misses, Hazards, BBS observations, Audits, MOC’s, Regulatory Reporting, and assigned actions associated with the aforementioned processes\n\nServe as a compliance liaison with outside organizations\n\nRecommend process safety features that will reduce employees' exposure to chemicals.\n\nOversee the testing of air quality, noise, and temperature levels to verify compliance with health and safety regulations and perform or direct environmental monitoring as required by permits or Veolia; examine permits to ensure compliance with requirements.\n\nAbility to evaluate PPE and ensure proper use and maintenance of PPE\n\nWork with consultants and contractors on related EHS issues; maintain liaisons with outside organizations such as fire departments, and third-party contractors to facilitate emergency response.\n\nInvestigate accidents, injuries, occupational diseases, near misses and environmental issues / misses to determine root causes and preventive measures. Follow up to make sure all corrective actions were taken and completed.\n\nReport and review findings from accident investigations, facilities inspections, or environmental testing\n\nPlan and execute emergency and active shooter response drills\n\nModify and implement compliance tracking programs and record keeping systems; ensure effective EHS education programs are in place and conduct EHS education programs which include coordination of worker training in areas such as environmental and safety laws and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring and use of safety equipment.\n\nHelp develop Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) support Capital Project design and implementation by acting as EHS subject matter expert and supporting contractor management on site.\n\nConduct monthly EHS Meetings/Trainings and schedule as needed.\n\nParticipate/lead the Plant Safety Committee\n\nThis list is not all-inclusive and may include other duties as assigned and necessary for the operation and management of the business.\n\n Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, or related field from an accredited college or university\n\n5+ years of experience with exposure to several EHS areas in a chemical manufacturing environment\n\nExperience managing environmental programs such as air emissions, wastewater, stormwater, hazardous waste, environmental monitoring, and regulatory reporting.\n\nGood interpersonal and leadership skills.
