Together, we pursue a shared mission to create a more sustainable future.\n Job Summary\nAs part of Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls (EI&C) Engineering, you will work collaboratively with a\ncross-functional engineering team executing custom project designs, meeting customer expectations,\nquality, schedule, budget and ensuring project risks are mitigated. The individual chosen for this role will\nbe developed and trained in all aspects of the EI&C design for a wide range of water technologies. This\nrole will include leading the design effort for Instrumentation, Electrical, Controls and Programming,\nsupporting our production facilities, participating in customer facing factory acceptance tests and\nassisting through commissioning.\nKey Characteristics\nAbility to collaborate cross-functional project team discussions and client meetings.\nProven ability to develop and follow procedures and standards, while extrapolating new concepts from established standards.\nKnowledge of and/or demonstrated ability to learn equipment and processes related to Veolia products and systems.\nDuties & Responsibilities\nRead, interpret and comment on engineering documents, including P&IDs, GAs, process design guidelines, return of experience, and engineering best practices guides.\nPerform required calculations and select the appropriate instrumentation for water treatment facilities as well as all supporting documentation (instrument lists, termination drawings, instrument datasheets, etc.).\nDesign the complete detailed electrical design for water treatment facilities (single line diagrams, load lists, I/O lists, network architectures, panel design and schematics). Design the complete detailed process control documents (Control Philosophy, Control Logic & Sequence Charts) for plant operation, for assigned projects.\nPerform FAT’s, CVT’s and Commissioning support as required.\nEngage in the development of automation deliverables including test plans, programs, and nnetwork design.\nManage budget, scope, schedule and proactively report risks and opportunities to project teams.\n Knowledge, Skills & Abilities\nExcellent problem-solving abilities.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills (including coordinating, reporting, documentation, and presentations).\nStrong focus on customer relationships (external/internal). Understands balance between customer and Veolia teams.\nEducation & Experience\nRequired:\nBachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent from an accredited University or College.\nValid passport and driver’s license.\nPreferred:\nUnderstanding of hydraulics, water chemistry and fundamentals of fluid mechanics.\nKnowledge of and/or demonstrated ability to learn equipment and processes related to Veolia WTS products and systems.\nExperience with control systems, Programmable Logic Controllers, HMI and SCADA design and programming.\nBasic technical knowledge in the field of industrial control systems.\nUnderstanding of Low Voltage Power Distribution System design.\nProfessional Engineer or EIT designation.\nWorking Conditions\nOccasional travel up to 25% for commissioning support, client meetings, FAT’s, customer site visits and/or visits to other Veolia offices/production facilities\n At Veolia, we realize diverse teams make smarter decisions, deliver better results, and build stronger communities. The range is not an absolute, but a guide, and offers will be based on the individual candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience and market conditions, as well as internal peer equity.
