You will act as the official EHS representative while providing expert support to water treatment projects and service activities throughout the region.\nReporting to the EHS Manager Benelux, you will join a collaborative and dynamic EHS team dedicated to continuous improvement. This is a role with significant autonomy, variety, and the opportunity to make a tangible impact\nWhat does the day-to-day look like?\nLeadership & Management Systems:\nLead by example to drive a world-class EHS culture and help meet safety objectives.\nDevelop, maintain, and continuously improve our management systems (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, VCA)\nEnsure alignment with Veolia's internal framework.\nDrive the practical implementation of EHS policies, strategies, and legal requirements on the ground.\nOperational & Project Support:\nProvide expert EHS advice for new water treatment projects, from design to commissioning (e.g., HAZOP, RAMS, safety by design, site safety plans).\nAct as the EHS point of contact for our service activities, supporting operational teams in the field.\nLead key safety events such as risk assessments, safety walks, incident investigations, and kick-off meetings.\nRespond effectively to customer EHS requirements and audits.\nTraining & Communication:\nDevelop and deliver targeted EHS training to operational teams in your areas of expertise.\nManage the EHS training program, from maintaining the catalogue to tracking employee progress.\nEnsure clear and engaging communication on all EHS matters across the organization.\n Compliance & Administration:\nMonitor compliance with Dutch/Belgian EHS legislation and company procedures.\nInvestigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify root causes and prevent reoccurrence.\nManage and maintain our online EHS reporting tools, ensuring data is accurate and up-to-date.\nOversee the management of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), from selection to catalogue updates.\nWhat You'll Bring to the Team\nRequired Qualifications\nSolid experience in a similar EHS role, preferably in an industrial or service-oriented environment.\nIn-depth knowledge of Netherlands EHS legislation.\nFluency in Dutch and English is essential. Proficiency in French would be a strong asset.\nProven experience with EHS management systems like ISO 45001 and/or VCA.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.\nStrong problem-solving skills and a creative, solution-oriented approach.\nPreferred Experience\nExperience with project safety methodologies (RAMS, HAZOP, safety by design, PSSR).\nExperience as a trainer or in delivering professional training.\nExperience working in a multinational corporate environment.\n At Veolia, we value our people and are committed to their well-being and professional growth.
