We're on a mission of Ecological Transformation, and we're looking for a dedicated Procurement Lead to help us lead the charge.\nThe Procurement Lead will be responsible for managing procurement activities for Veolia, and will play a key role in ensuring customer sales orders are met on time whilst working to optimise our supply chain efficiency. They will be responsible for driving procurement excellence, managing supplier relationships, coordinating with logistics and sales teams, and supporting two procurement administrators to achieve our operational objectives.\nWhat will I be doing…\nManage and support two procurement administrators to deliver procurement excellence\nCreate purchase orders using Latis MRP system for standard sales\nLiaise with Logistics, Sales Administration, Engineering Scheduling teams and 3PL to ensure customer sales orders are met on time\nFollow through with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and monitor supplier conformance\nProactively identify disruption to supply and mitigate risk by seeking alternative sources\nWork with 3PL to ensure smooth goods receipting and provide on-site assistance when required\nCoordinate direct-to-site deliveries effectively with the Logistics team\nUpdate shared sales backlog report daily with PO information to keep all internal stakeholders informed\nEnsure suppliers adhere to company terms and conditions\nDrive efficiency in procurement activities and negotiate favourable prices where possible\nSupport the process of creating new suppliers in Latis\nAssist in developing our supply chain capabilities\nResolve invoice queries with Accounts Payable\nCollate and submit quality and compliance information such as packaging information and supplier evaluations\nComply with and promote Health and Safety policies and procedures\nDemonstrate health & safety awareness and practice\nWhat you will bring to the role…\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills to guide, influence, and coordinate with internal and external partners\nBuild strong working relationships with suppliers, logistics teams, and internal engineering teams\nDemonstrate passion for operational excellence and continuous improvement\nResults-oriented with a 'can do' attitude and keen interest in procurement\nExcellent analytical and numerical skills with strong attention to detail\nAbility to be flexible and evolve due to the ever-changing nature of the industries in which we operate\n Essential:\nMinimum of 3 years' experience in a purchasing role, including quality and operational experience\nMust be highly motivated with a keen interest in procurement/buying\nKnowledge of procurement processes, policies, and procedures, and be financially and commercially aware\nNegotiation and stakeholder management skills\nStrong analytical and numerical skills\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail\nQualified to A Level or equivalent with a minimum Grade B in Maths and English at GCSE level\nGood understanding of procedures and concepts within procurement discipline\nDesirable:\nWorking towards a CIPS Level 4 qualification or commitment to study towards this qualification\nGoogle Suite experience\nExperience using ERP systems (JD Edwards)\nExperience using Quality systems\nGood understanding of technical/process areas with experience in water, engineering, or construction industry\nExperience with Latis MRP system\n What we can offer you…\nAt Veolia, we offer a comprehensive benefits package to support your well-being, work-life balance, and long-term security.
