In this role, you will be responsible for the survey, design, installation oversight, and commissioning of metering equipment and data gathering hardware. You will oversee contractor work during critical project phases, provide technical support for build and assembly activities, and conduct system commissioning, start-ups, and training while identifying continuous improvement opportunities.\nPrimary Duties/Responsibilities:\nCommission and start-up utility-grade metering equipment\nEngineer and design new or modified advanced metering systems to meet customer objectives\nReview project, equipment, and proposed design plans for specification compliance\nConduct on-site surveys and walkthroughs with operating personnel, contractors, and engineering teams\nPerform lab testing for process troubleshooting and optimization\nManage multiple projects simultaneously over extended periods\nTroubleshoot, inspect, and rebuild existing equipment in field environments\nPrepare technical documentation, procedures, internal memoranda, and reports in a timely manner\nOversee contractor work during specific project phases and provide technical support\nWork Environment:\nTravel up to 20%\n Education/Experience/Background:\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field\nImplementation and support experience with control systems and/or DCS (Distributed Control Systems)\nPLC and logic programming, configuration, and support experience\nExperience with databases and SQL queries\nPC/server configuration experience\nThin client systems and/or VMware experience\nBackground in the energy industry\nExperience working in integrated IT/OT environments with frequent IT personnel collaboration\nKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:\nThorough understanding of electric circuits and the ability to make decisions based on circuit diagrams\nProficiency in AutoCAD or Visio for creating or modifying design documents\nComprehensive understanding of MEP drawings (electrical, mechanical, and plumbing)\nBasic network understanding and troubleshooting capabilities\nThorough understanding of control panel design, wiring, and plant instrumentation\n Pay Range: $75000 to $85000 per year.\nBenefits: Veolia’s comprehensive benefits package includes paid time off policies, as well as health, dental, vision, life insurance, savings accounts, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteering and more.
