In this pivotal leadership role, you'll be accountable for all engineering deliverables, guiding cross-functional teams of 25-30+ engineers through complex projects from conception to completion.\nAs a member of the project leadership team alongside the Project Manager and Sourcing Project Leader, you'll ensure technical excellence, schedule adherence, and budget compliance while serving as the primary technical face of Veolia to our customers. This is an ideal role for an experienced engineer who excels at building high-performing teams, communicating vision, and driving results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nProject Leadership & Team Management\nDirect multi-disciplinary engineering teams (Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls) managing approximately 4,000 engineering hours monthly\nBuild and mentor high-performing teams, delegate effectively, and facilitate collaboration across functions\nEstablish project rhythms, meetings, and communication structures that drive clear action plans and outcomes\nIdentify competency development needs and support team growth.\nEngineering Delivery & Quality Assurance\nOversee all engineering deliverables including P&IDs, equipment drawings, datasheets, plant/piping arrangements, instrumentation architecture, and design specifications\nCoordinate formal and peer review processes to ensure accuracy and quality of all technical work\nManage engineering activities across internal and external functions using industry-standard tools (schedules, document lists, action items, risk registers, change orders)\nEnsure proper technical review of vendor selection and fabrication.\nCommercial & Customer Management\nSupport bid activities with technical reviews, labor estimates, and sub-contracting strategies\nExecute projects with balance of plant (BOP) and site installation scope\nServe as primary customer liaison, resolving technical queries and managing expectations\nCoordinate technical requirements with suppliers and ensure timely information delivery\nSupport Sourcing in vendor management and performance monitoring.\nProject Coordination & Execution\nManage project team resource budgets and allocate resources strategically\nCoordinate all engineering activities to maximize performance and project success\nMaintain critical project reporting and documentation\nExercise sound judgment and professionalism when managing multiple shifting demands.\n Required Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in an accredited Engineering field\nMinimum 10 years of project experience in engineering or a related field\nImpeccable planning, organization, and time management skills\nClear, concise communication and presentation abilities\nStrong meeting facilitation skills with ability to set objectives and drive outcomes\nTeam player with excellent judgment under changing conditions\nAbility to travel domestically and internationally 5-10% of the time.\nPreferred Qualifications\nDirect experience in water treatment, oil & gas, chemical, or power industries\nExperience with industrial processes and system engineering\nEPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) contract experience\nProfessional Engineer's License, or ability to obtain one within 1 year.\n At Veolia, we realize diverse teams make smarter decisions, deliver better results, and build stronger communities. The range is not an absolute, but a guide, and offers will be based on the individual candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience and market conditions, as well as internal peer equity.
