We're on a mission of Ecological Transformation, and we're looking for a dedicated Field Service Engineer to help us lead the charge.\nYour role is to support a dedicated fixed customer site with the operation, commissioning and maintenance of Veolia-owned water treatment equipment. This includes reverse osmosis, de-ionisation and filtration. You will be based on the customer's site and report to Gary Graham.\nWhat you'll be doing:\nInstalling and servicing chemical feed and water treatment equipment.\nActing as the local technical consultant and liaison with customer management and representatives on site.\nProviding service and support to the prescribed customer site.\nCoordinating functions with the Area Field Services Lead, Management and Senior FSEs.\nPerforming water analysis and/or collecting samples for preparation, labelling and shipment to the designated laboratory.\nCompleting and distributing on-site reports for any work carried out.\nTroubleshooting and repairing pumps, instruments and control panels.\nCalibrating flow instruments, conductivity sensors and pH sensors.\nCarrying out preventative maintenance on the water treatment plant, chemical feed pumps, controllers and instrumentation.\nKeeping site maintenance records up to date.\nMaintaining an inventory of spare parts (lube oil, tubing, piping, etc.) and an adequate supply of reagents, sample containers and shipment containers for routine and special sampling and analysis.\nRelaying customer feedback to Field Services, Commercial and/or Technical departments.\nRecommending site procedural and/or policy changes that will improve overall effectiveness.\nBeing flexible in the role and supporting the site where required.\nTraining customer and other personnel to operate the equipment safely and effectively when the FSE is not on site.\nTraining company trainees in the technical site functions of the Field Service Engineer role.\n What we are looking for:\nA qualification in a suitable Science, Engineering or technical discipline, or equivalent knowledge and experience, or mechanical experience from apprenticeships or site maintenance experience.\nA Level (or equivalent) Chemistry, or equivalent knowledge and experience.\nQualifications in electrical or PLC courses.\nPassport 2 safety.\nCSCS card.\nKnowledge of maintenance tracking tools.\nWater treatment site experience.\nExperience of working on industrial sites.\nElectrical, PLC and/or instrumentation experience.\n At Veolia UK, we’re proud to be known as an equal opportunities employer.
