Quarantine and report defective equipment. \nReport any unsafe acts, hazards, defective equipment to your supervisor and maintain a safe working environment at all times\nKeep your work area free from hazards \nInspect and service all vehicles, plant and equipment in line with OEM minimum standards\nCarry out vehicle safety inspection in line with group fleet policy\nMaintain, prepare and present vehicles for annual MOT testing at specified DVSA approved ATF \nComplete all aspects of vehicle inspection documentation in line with group fleet compliance policy\nComplete technical training when required\nComplete job cards and associated paperwork in a timely manner.\nBe able to work as part of a team and on own initiative\nWhat we're looking for;\nEssential:\nCity & Guilds or NVQ level 3 in HGV Engineering or equivalent.\nGood communication skills.\nAbility to work as part of a team and individually.\nAbility to work under pressure and actively seek solutions to problems.\nFlexibility to undertake a wide range of tasks.\nThorough Knowledge of current HGV MOT regulations and standards.\nDriving Licence.\nDesirable:\nIRTEC Licence.\nWaste/RCV vehicle experience.\nElectrical/Hydraulic/ Pneumatic experience.\nHGV Driving Licence (Vocational entitlement attracts an additional 50p per hour).\nWelding/fabrication skills.\nForklift licence (Counterbalance).\n* If you are a skilled or semi-skilled Technician we’d still love to hear from you.
