We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HGV Technician to join us! As a HGV Technician at Veolia no two days are the same, with multiple types of vehicles within our fleet.\nThis hands-on role is pivotal in ensuring we can continue to deliver our service across the UK. Your role involves maintaining and repairing refuse collection vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction every step of the way.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDiagnose faults and carry out repairs on chassis and mounted equipment\nService vehicles to VOSA standards and prepare them for MOT inspections\nComplete body and chassis repairs and ensure compliance with Department of Transport specifications\nMaintain accurate records, complete necessary paperwork and time sheets\nDiagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic vehicle systems\nEnsure all work is completed efficiently and to company standards\nFollow health and safety procedures and be responsible for your safety and those around you\nComplete roadside repairs when necessary (training to be provided)\nUndertake training to enhance technical skills and knowledge\nWhat we're looking for:\nNVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance\nProven experience in commercial vehicle repair and servicing\nStrong diagnostic and fault-finding skills\nUnderstanding of electronics, hydraulics, and wiring diagrams\nExcellent communication\nAbility to work independently and manage time effectively\nAwareness and understanding of health and safety requirements\nWillingness to travel and work flexible hours, including overtime\nIRTEC qualification, or HGV Class 2 licence is a bonus\nIf you're ready to take your technical skills to the next level, we'd love to hear from you!\nWhat’s next?\nApply today, so we can make a difference for generations to come.\nWe're proud to have been named as one of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work for three consecutive years in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
