Veolia’s mission is to resource the world and we hope you will join us!\n What your day might look like:\nThe Quality Engineering intern investigates field failures using customer data and returned parts\nAs part of the Quality Engineering team, you will work with a cross-functional engineering team to learn testing and production processes and identity key process improvements\nYou will compose failure analysis reports for internal and external failing components.\nKey Responsibilities:\nIn this role, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):\nInvestigate field failures using customer data and returned parts. Test returned parts and collect data.\nAuthor Failure Analysis Reports for field failures. Identify upstream quality improvements and corrective actions for each report, via root cause analysis and CAPA exercises.\nDevelop an understanding of testing and production processes and identify key process improvements\nReview internal failure modes with the production team to proactively identify areas for improvement and the potential to implement SPC (Statistical Process Control).\nPerform failure analysis investigations on recurring failing materials in a manufacturing environment to help determine root cause.\nPerform QC testing on existing products or new products. Trend QC data and provide monthly updates on trends or unexpected results.\n Our Ideal Candidate\nCurrently enrolled in, or recently graduated from a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other related technical discipline.\nExperience and/or coursework related to data analysis and data management.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nSelf-driven, creative problem solver, and adept at developing solutions in the face of conflicting requirements, business needs, and technical challenges.\nProficiency in utilizing various data sources and frequencies.\nQuality control testing of instruments and components\nFamiliarity with process monitoring and control through Statistical Process Control (SPC).\n At Veolia, we realize diverse teams make smarter decisions, deliver better results, and build stronger communities.
