This is a fast-paced job with many variables in which you will be constantly reviewing and working with the senior (internal/external) Logistics team. The position will be based in Oakville, ON.\nJob Description\nCreate shipping paperwork and arrange domestic, export and import of shipments by various multimodal transports (Air, Ocean, Road) to/from various overseas destinations and compliance with TDG, IATA, IMDG etc. regulations.\n\nUtilizes ERP system (SAP) to transact orders, status updates, equipment movement in real time and ensures inventories in area of responsibility are accurate and secured.\n\nResponsible for delivery performance KPIs to ensure communication accuracy for order fulfillment\nAct as the main point of contact for internal teams, coordinate and expedite the flow of materials between departments, manufacturing plants and suppliers\n\nRun reports, interface with production, sales, purchasing and suppliers to ensure timely customs release and schedule inbound and outbound deliveries\n\nIdentify and react to short lead time, rush and emergency orders to meet customer requirements\nArrange export and import of shipments by various multimodal transports (Air, Ocean, Road) to/from overseas destinations in compliance with TDG, IATA, IMDG regulations\n\nResponsible for compliance with Customs Acts and regulations (CBSA/CBP), submit CAED Export declarations (B-13) through CAED online software\n\nCreate and submit PAPS and EPA documents including EPA NOA, cover letter, Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, TSCA and ACE Electronic Manifest through CBP/smart border online software\n\nProvide cost estimates for movement of goods to domestic/overseas destinations based on appropriate carrier and transport modes\n\nMaintain logistics, export/import compliance and reporting databases ensuring ongoing accuracy\nExecute and maintain SAP transactional records including inventory management (receiving, storing, picking, staging and distribution), post goods issue and RMAs\n\nResponsible for inventory management including cycle counts, physical inventory counts, and maintaining accurate stock levels\n\nCreate small parcel shipments and maintain accurate files of packing and shipping activities\nComply with EHS & Quality System regulations and policies\n\nExecute the receiving, storing, picking, staging and distribution\n\nStore chemicals according to compatibility and safety regulations.\n\nPerform physical movement of materials from one area to another using handcarts, forklifts, or drum handling equipment\n\nMaintain material handling equipment\n\nConduct pre-shift equipment inspections\n\nThis list is not all-inclusive and may include other duties and/or special projects as assigned **Forklift license is mandatory with minimum 3-5 years of working experience in using Counterbalance. **\n\n Required Qualifications\nBachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in supply chain/business, with a minimum 2-3 years of experience in the logistics function\n\nMinimum 2-3 years of SAP experience in the sales & distribution, planning and shipment module Strong knowledge of Microsoft office and Google Suite\n\nMust have working knowledge of import/export regulations (e.g. Tariff Classification; Certificate of Origin, Commercial Invoice, etc.) and carrier management\n\nForklift certification required\n\nDesired Characteristics\nStrong analytical and critical thinking skills\n\nAbility to communicate across all levels of the organization\n\nAbility to adapt / drive change across a global team in a dynamic business environment Ability to work well in a fast-paced and challenging environment\n\nStrong result-oriented mindset and extremely detail and result oriented mindset\n\nStrong oral and written communication skills\n\nStrong interpersonal skills\n\nStrong digital mindset comfortable entering and retrieving data in a variety of software platforms and drive changes with every changing technology\n\n Compensation:\nThe compensation range is tied to the market for similarly bench-marked roles. The range is not an absolute, but a guide, and offers will be based on the individual candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience and market conditions, as well as internal peer equity.
