The key duties include cleaning debris off scrapers, idlers, rollers, motors, conveyors, bellypans, exhaust fans, diverters, etc. The employee must also have some mechanical aptitude in order to determine if a piece of equipment requires repair.\nThis position operates within a COR certified plant environment and is required to comply with all regulatory requirements including the Client’s operating approval with Alberta Environment.\nKey Responsibilities:\nThe duties of the Mechanical cleaner are as follows, but not limited to:\nUnderstands and promotes the Company’s, the Division’s, the Plant’s, and the Department’s mission statement, values, and strategic goals.\nProactively promotes through example a safe work ethic, attitude, and workplace. Complies with all safety policies, standards, and procedures to achieve a safe work environment and safety for all staff and visitors as well as the Company’s, Client’s and Regulatory Agencies safe work objectives and requirements.\nMaintains effective working relationships and communications with peers, management, and other Company departments and staff. Effectively resolves any conflicts in a timely and respectful manner to achieve positive and healthy working relationships and workplace environment.\nOperates company owned, leased, or rented vehicles and/or equipment .
