Call-out rota includes other sites across West and South Yorkshire\nWhat we can offer you:\n25 days of annual leave\n\nRefer an Engineer to us once you’ve joined and earn £1000\n\nAccess to our company pension scheme\n\nFree physiotherapy and 24/7 GP service\n\nDiscounts on everything from groceries to well known retailers\n\nAccess to a range of resources to support your physical, mental, and financial health\n\nOngoing training and development opportunities, allowing you to reach your full potential\n\nWhat you'll be doing:\nTo manage and maintain the daily maintenance of the plant within a team that delivers 24/7 cover working a callout rota to the Syngenta and West Yorkshire Mobile sites.\n\nTo manage contractors and keep records to prove compliance.\n\nTo provide a good level of housekeeping and aesthetic appearance in accordance with standard operating procedures and specified standards as determined by the contract KPIs and company values.\n\nTo carry out mechanical maintenance, fault finding, repair, decommissioning and recommissioning on a wide range of plant including High and Low Pressure boilers and auxiliary equipment, ensuring that all equipment within Veolia's control is correctly maintained and repaired, maximising plant efficiency and the safety of themselves and all other personnel at all times.\n\nThey must be able to undertake the role with the minimum of supervision, whilst maintaining a flexible approach and focusing on the needs of the customers and effectively following the quality process and procedures put in place, including pro-actively identifying areas for improvement.\n\nThey will also be expected to share their knowledge / Train the Veolia site team so that they can be covered in their absence.\n\n1 in 8 call-out rota\n\nWhat we're looking for:\nQualified to HNC or ONC level in a craft, trade or Engineering discipline\n\nPrevious experience of steam boilers and hot water systems\n\nBe proactive and self-managing and to exercise individual core technical skills effectively, flexibly to a high personal standard\n\nTo maintain a high standard of housekeeping.\n\nProven ability to fault find and problem solve\n\nExcellent communications skills (written, telephone manner/verbal/face to face).\n\nAble to complete forms (e.g.: engineers’ work sheets, Timesheets, PPM sheets, expenses forms) competently and accurately\n\nFull Driving licence\n\nWhat’s next?\nApply today, so we can make a difference for generations to come.\nWe're proud to have been named as one of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work for three consecutive years in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
