Headquartered in Boston, Veolia has more than 10,000 employees working at more than 350 locations across North America.\n Position Purpose:\nResponsible for the safe collection, transportation, and delivery of regulated medical waste, sharps waste, pharmaceutical waste, and related healthcare waste streams between customer locations and designated treatment or disposal facilities. Ensures all manifests, shipping documents, and waste containers are properly prepared and compliant with applicable DOT, OSHA, state, and company regulations. Provides professional customer service while maintaining safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.\nPrimary Duties /Responsibilities:\nPerform daily inspections of assigned vehicle to ensure safe operation and compliance with company standards.\nCollect, transport, and deliver regulated medical waste, sharps containers, non haz-pharmaceutical waste, and other approved waste streams between customer locations and treatment facilities.\nReview manifests, tracking documents, container labeling, and shipping paperwork for accuracy and regulatory compliance.\nVerify that waste containers are properly packaged, labeled, and closed prior to transportation.\nProvide excellent customer service while servicing healthcare facilities, laboratories, pharmacies, research facilities, and other customers.\nAssist with loading, unloading, and movement of waste containers using appropriate equipment and safe work practices.\nReport vehicle issues, incidents, accidents, customer concerns, or compliance issues to management promptly.\nMaintain required transportation records, inspection reports, route documentation, and company paperwork.\nAssist with facility housekeeping, container staging, and other operational support activities as needed.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n Education / Experience / Background:\nHigh School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required\nPrior 26ft box truck driving experience required\nKnowledge / Skills / Abilities:\nKnowledge of DOT regulations related to transportation of regulated medical waste preferred\nStrong customer service and communication skills\nAbility to safely operate company vehicles and equipment\nStrong attention to detail when reviewing manifests and shipping documents\nAbility to organize and manage multiple tasks and customer locations\nStrong teamwork and problem-solving skills\nRequired Certification / Licenses / Training:\nValid Driver's License required\n40-Hour HAZWOPER training preferred but not required\nExperience in the Regulated medical waste field preferred but not required\n Pay Range: $26 to $28 per hour\nBenefits: Veolia’s comprehensive benefits package includes paid time off policies, as well as health, dental, vision, life insurance, savings accounts, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteering and more.
