Headquartered in Boston, Veolia has more than 10,000 employees working at more than 350 locations across North America.\n This position is located at a Semiconductor Manufacturing Facility.\nPosition Purpose:\nResponsible for supervising and scheduling day-to-day operational activities to include troubleshooting, health,\nsafety, and environmental compliance issues and policies, quality assurance/control, determining cost of supplies\nversus labor, provide technical expertise on operational modifications, hiring and training of subordinates, etc.\nAssist immediate supervisor in the annual preparation of goals versus forecasted budgeted allowances as well as\nconducting special exploratory assignments.\nPrimary Duties /Responsibilities:\nEnforces all compliance, health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with departmental and regional requirements.\nOversee compliance with all OSHA, EPA, DOT, and all other governmental regulations.\nAttends and arranges for all required training courses.\nOversees operation of all equipment including maintenance to ensure optimum utilization.\nAssists with the training of team members to ensure appropriate performance standards within the various functional areas of the site.\nMaintain a professional image to clients by answering inquiries and suggesting alternative solutions to existing and/or potential problems.\n Education / Experience / Background:\nBS in Chemistry or a related science discipline or equivalent work experience required\n4 to 6 years of hazardous waste experience preferred\nKnowledge / Skills / Abilities:\nExtensive knowledge in the following areas: DOT, EPA, TSCA, and OSHA\nKnowledge of site capabilities and limitations prior to treatment and/or shipping hazardous & non-hazardous waste materials to ensure efficient disbursement and storage.\nComputer proficient\nStrong team player\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills\nTime management: the ability to organize and manage multiple deadlines\nStrong customer service orientation\nStrong supervisory and leadership skills\nAbility to create & prepare reports as necessary\nRequired Certification / Licenses / Training:\nHAZWOPER Certification\n Benefits: Veolia’s comprehensive benefits package includes paid time off policies, as well as health, dental, vision, life insurance, savings accounts, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteering and more.
