This role includes supervising the day-to-day activities of wastewater facilities, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing maintenance and operational improvements.\nPrimary Duties/Responsibilities:\nOversee and manage the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment and collection systems.\nEnsure compliance with all regulatory and environmental standards.\nLead and mentor staff, focusing on continuous training and knowledge transfer.\nCoordinate with various departments for infrastructure improvements and operational enhancements.\nManage assets efficiently and develop maintenance strategies for system care and improvements.\nRespond to customer complaints and inquiries related to wastewater services.\nDevelop and maintain operational policies and procedures to optimize efficiency.\nParticipate in emergency response planning and management.\n Education/Experience/Background:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience in a regulated utility.\nA minimum of 7 - 10 years of experience in business management preferably water and/or wastewater utility management.\nRelevant industry experience in water treatment, hydraulics, or water / wastewater operations.\nKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:\nStrong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and collection systems.\nProven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nProficiency in environmental compliance and safety practices.\nAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.\nCompetence in developing and implementing operational strategies and SOPs.\nRequired Certification/Licenses/Training:\nCertifications in wastewater treatment operations preferred.\n Benefits: Veolia’s comprehensive benefits package includes paid time off policies, as well as health, dental, vision, life insurance, savings accounts, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteering and more.
