Must be a self-motivated & energetic professional. Must have understanding of building electrical systems design & construction. Must have experience with commissioning process of electrical systems ranging in size, rating and complexity. The ideal candidate shall possess theoretical and practical knowledge in the commissioning, testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems and related controls. Candidate will be responsible for reviewing project information; coordinating and executing daily field activities; maintaining project documentation; assisting the Project Manager with schedule and planning of resources; and providing guidance to Project Engineers. May perform as team lead on small to medium sized projects. Will be expected to assess and test at a high technical level. This role requires the candidate to have technical competency, organizational skills, good communication skills, and to work well in a team environment where leadership is necessary.\nPrimary Duties/Responsibilities:\nCommission electrical distribution equipment and related controls, primarily in data center environments, including high voltage and medium voltage systems.\nReview system designs for compliance with client facility goals.\nPrepare plans and procedures for execution of the commissioning process.\nConduct commissioning activities from the design phase through the occupation phase, in accordance with client requirements and industry commissioning process best practices.\nAttend factory testing of equipment and document procedures and results.\nConduct functional testing of equipment.\nPerform analysis of test results using instrumentation and prepare reports.\nUnderstand critical power quality requirements and test procedures.\nPerform thermographic surveys and analyze results.\nFully document all field procedures including results, issues and observations either via company provided templates or online applications.\nReport on system performance and make technical recommendations on issues.\nWork with the Project Manager and project teams to coordinate and execute field activities.\nPrepare and provide input on commissioning project documentation and schedules.\nDraft comprehensive test procedures for a variety of equipment and systems.\nAttend relevant project coordination and schedule meetings as necessary.\nMay be required to lead commissioning meetings or speak on technical topics.\nAssist with submitting and maintaining daily commissioning reports.\nTrain and guide both Associate Project Engineers and Project Engineers on roles & responsibilities\nRespond to project team and client inquiries in a professional and timely manner.\nComply with company, client, and project safety requirements.\nBe knowledgeable with building equipment, including, but not limited to:Generator\nGenerator Paralleling Switchgear\nHigh / Medium / Low Voltage Transformer (XFMR)\nUninterruptible Power Supply (UPS Systems)\nBattery Systems\nHigh / Medium / Low Voltage Switchgear (SWGR)\nLow Voltage Main Switchboards (MSB)\nPLC Control\nAutomatic and Semi-Automatic Switching Controls\nElectrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS)\nAutomatic Transfer Switch (ATS)\nStatic Transfer Switch (STS)\nPower Distribution Unit (PDU)\nBusways\nRemote Power Panel (RPP)\nGrounding Systems\nLighting Control Systems\n\n Education/Experience/Background:\nBSc/MSc in Electrical Engineering with 5 or more years with mission critical project experience, or relevant and applicable industry experience;\nOR\nMinimum of 7 or more years of experience in commissioning with mission critical project experience, or relevant and applicable industry experience.\nKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:\nExperience in Mission Critical facility commissioning essential.\nOrganized, detail-oriented, analytical, proactive, problem solver.\nGood communication and relationship skills.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, work with limited supervision and manage junior engineers on day to day tasks.\nKnowledge & experience with ASHRAE or BCxA commissioning guidelines preferred.\nKnowledge & experience with InterNational Electrical Testing Association (NETA) test specifications.\nDistributed control system experience a plus.\nGood understanding of building management systems (BMS) and/or electrical power monitoring system (EPMS).\nDeep understanding and application of test instrumentation.\nTeam player and a “client-first” mentality.\nRequired Certification/Licenses/Training:\nProfessional Engineers (PE) License and/or a commissioning certification a plus but not required.\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to walk up to 5 miles per day.\nCarry up to 50 lbs.\nAbility to wear required PPE daily.\nTravel nationwide 50% - 75% if not assigned locally; may have periods of higher travel expectation.\n Pay Range: $115,000 to $130,000 Per Year.\nBenefits: Veolia’s comprehensive benefits package includes paid time off policies, as well as health, dental, vision, life insurance, savings accounts, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteering and more.
