In this role, the PM is responsible for the overall success of projects in the Industrial Market portfolio.\nWorking closely with the Lead Engineer and Sourcing Project Leader, you direct and coordinate all activities on a given project, beginning with contract signature and following through process/equipment design, vendor selection, fabrication, shipment, installation and startup. The PM is a passionate advocate for quality and safety across every aspect of the project, and ensures that the team delivers on commitments while adhering to scope, schedule and budget. The PM will need to communicate the project status, provide updates on the budget and progress against schedule while setting and managing client and vendor expectations.\nKey Characteristics:\nAble to work in a networked and highly flexible role and collaborate with several stakeholders\nSkilled communicator that approaches problems analytically and with intellectual rigor\nFoundation in engineering principles and knowledge of water treatment design and operation\nAble to direct a team of experts and coach individuals as needed to ensure that the project stays on track \nEffective facilitator of project team meetings and deliverables, and as needed able to resolve conflicts within the project team\nAble to handle multiple shifting demands with professionalism and good judgment\nAble to effectively communicate information to varying audiences including Senior and Executive Leadership in the Veolia organization and within Client organizations\nDuties & Responsibilities:\nOversees the delivery of water treatment equipment projects from initiation through completion.\nOrganizes how the contract will be executed and defines clear project objectives.\nDevelops and maintains realistic plans for scope, budget, schedule, and key milestones.\nCoordinates the project team so everyone understands priorities, project structure, and their responsibilities.\nWorks closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to satisfy contractual and technical requirements.\nPromptly escalates issues or events that could significantly impact cost, schedule, scope, or quality.\nMonitors progress through regular reviews and internal reports, adjusting plans as needed.\nIdentifies, evaluates, and manages project risks and opportunities.\nOversees project changes and supports claims management where required.\nActively participates in technical meetings and project reviews.\nCollaborates with technical experts and discipline engineers to resolve issues and address critical topics.\nMaintains and updates action plans, ensuring timely closure of actions and adherence to project objectives.\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:\nImpeccable planning, organization and time management\nClear, concise communication and presentation skills\nTeam player, with the ability to exercise good judgment under ambiguous or changing conditions.\n Education & Experience\nRequired:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or an equivalent field\nTen years experience managing projects which include equipment supply and construction \nProject Management Professional (PMP) certification, or the ability to obtain it within one year.\nPreferred:\nExperience managing Engineering, Procurement contracts preferred\nExperience in industrial process system design/construction, specifically water treatment in the , chemical, oil & gas or power markets.\nWorking Conditions:\nThe role requires the ability to travel domestically and internationally 5-20% of the time.\n At Veolia, we realize diverse teams make smarter decisions, deliver better results, and build stronger communities. The range is not an absolute, but a guide, and offers will be based on the individual candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience and market conditions, as well as internal peer equity.
