We know that everyone here at Veolia can help us work alongside our communities, look after the environment, and contribute to our inclusive culture.\nWhat We Can Offer You\nAccess to our company pension scheme\nDiscounts on everything from groceries to well known retailers\nAccess to a range of resources to support your physical, mental and financial health; so you can lean on us whenever you need to\n24 hour access to a virtual GP, 365 days a year, for you and family members in your household\nOne paid days leave every year to volunteer and support your community \nOngoing training and development opportunities, allowing you to reach your full potential\nWhat you'll be doing:\nCarry out planned, preventative and reactive mechanical maintenance across Veolia sites.\nInstall, maintain, repair and replace pumps, valves, pipework and associated mechanical equipment.\nDiagnose faults, identify root causes and complete effective repairs on mechanical plant and pumping systems.\nRespond to breakdowns and emergency callouts, making equipment safe and restoring operation as quickly as possible.\nComplete pipework installations, modifications, repairs and leak rectification works, including the inspection and commissioning of completed work.\nMaintain accurate records, complete PPM schedules and report on outstanding work, recurring faults and improvement opportunities.\nWhat we're looking for:\nA recognised mechanical engineering qualification, such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, apprenticeship or equivalent; HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline is desirable.\nPractical experience installing, maintaining and repairing pumps, pipework, valves and mechanical plants.\nStrong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills, with experience diagnosing breakdowns and identifying effective repair solutions.\nExperience of planned and reactive maintenance in an industrial, utilities, water, waste, process or facilities environment.\nExperience responding to emergency breakdowns and participating in an out-of-hours call-out rota, with a good understanding of safe systems of work.\nA full UK driving licence, willingness to travel across London and strong communication skills are essential; electrical, instrumentation, PLC, SCADA or ECI experience would be advantageous.\n\nWhat’s next?\nApply today, so we can make a difference for generations to come.\nWe're proud to have been named as one of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work for three consecutive years in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
