They work hard to serve their local communities and make a positive impact every day.\nWhether you’re looking to overhaul the industry, or just do a good day’s work, we know that everyone here at Veolia can help us work alongside our communities, look after the environment, and contribute to our inclusive culture.\nWhat you'll be doing;\nManual sweeping of streets and other areas (which can include footways, channels, alleys, subways, under and around street furniture etc.)\n\nou will receive the relevant training, to remove all dirt, dust, litter, excreta, loose chipping, debris, blossom, leaves, vegetation or any other matter whatsoever to achieve the required standard of the contract\n\nEnsure that all Gully Grids are clear of any obstruction and that sweepings arising are not swept over or pushed down gully grids; such action may lead to disciplinary action.\n\nEmpty litter bins found within your beat, ensuring that the liners are replaced properly.\n\nReport locations of any fly-tipping, graffiti, fly-posting, or damaged/missing litter bins to your Foreman.\n\nTo work alone or as part of a team with or without the assistance of cleaning machines or as otherwise directed.\n\nEnsure that the tasks are completed to schedule, and report any discrepancies immediately to your Working Foreman or manager\n\nPerform duties in an efficient and effective manner that will ensure maximum productivity.\n\nBe aware of your obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act, 1974 and follow the Code of Safe Working Practice for Street Cleansing\n\nTo ensure that all accidents and near misses that occur during the shift are reported fully to your Foreman/Manager, to the Police if appropriate and that accident/near miss reports are completed before you leave work.\n\nAt the start of each shift and prior to leaving the depot, check your equipment to ensure it is in good condition and exchange damaged or worn-out items.
