We know that everyone here at Veolia can help us work alongside our communities, look after the environment, and contribute to our inclusive culture.\nWhat we can offer you;\n25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays\nAccess to our company/people’s pension scheme\nDiscounts on everything from groceries to well known retailers\nAccess to a range of resources to support your physical, mental and financial health; so you can lean on us whenever you need to\n24 hour access to a virtual GP, 365 days a year, for you and family members in your household\nOne paid days leave every year to volunteer and support your community \nOngoing training and development opportunities, allowing you to reach your full potential\nWhat you’ll be doing;\nControl vehicle entry and exit at the hazardous waste site.\nWeigh incoming and outgoing vehicles accurately using site weighbridge software.\nRecord vehicle, load and waste acceptance information correctly.\nCheck driver driving licences and ADR licences where required.\nVerify waste transfer notes, hazardous waste consignment notes, dangerous goods notes and transfrontier shipment documentation.\nConfirm that incoming and outgoing waste matches the documented waste description and site acceptance requirements.\nPrevent non-compliant waste, vehicles or transactions from accessing the site.\nAdvise drivers on site rules, PPE requirements and safe access procedures.\nCarry out site inductions where required.\nDirect vehicles to the correct areas for processing, testing, storage or treatment.\nMaintain radio communication with mobile plant operators.\nLiaise with supervisors and managers when visitors arrive on site.\nReport service, safety and environmental issues and stop work where conditions are unsafe.\nApply the requirements of the Environmental Permit and follow the site emergency and major accident prevention plans.\nComplete all required hazardous waste site training and competency assessments.\nWhat we're looking for;\nExperience using weighbridge, booking-in, logistics or other vehicle management software.\nExperience accurately recording vehicle weights, waste details and operational information.\nKnowledge of waste documentation, including waste transfer notes, hazardous waste consignment notes, dangerous goods notes or transfrontier shipment documents.\nKnowledge of ADR licence requirements and hazardous waste acceptance procedures.\nPrevious experience in a weighbridge, waste, logistics, transport, hazardous materials or site administration role would be advantageous.\nAbility to check documentation against waste descriptions and site acceptance criteria.\nAbility to use radios and follow vehicle movement and site access procedures.\nUnderstanding of PPE requirements, environmental controls and safe systems of work.\nWillingness to complete hazardous waste site training, practical training and competency assessments.\nNo formal qualifications are required, although relevant administration or operational experience would be beneficial.\n.\nWhat’s next?\nApply today, so we can make a difference for generations to come.\nWe're proud to have been named as one of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work for three consecutive years in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
