This role is critical in enabling scalable, compliant, and high-quality data pipelines across clinical, claims, and operational datasets.\nThe ideal candidate brings deep experience in healthcare data ecosystems, strong technical expertise in Azure-based data platforms, and a proven ability to partner with cross-functional teams to deliver client-focused solutions.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, build, and maintainscalable ETL/ELT pipelines supporting healthcare data ingestion, transformation, and deliverySources may includeclaims, EHR/EMR, eligibility, pharmacy, and third-party datasets\n\nDevelop and maintainSQL Server stored procedures that drive core data transformation logic across client-specific and standardized pipelines\nImplement complex transformation logic usingT-SQL, including mapping, validation, aggregation, and data standardization\nOptimize performance ofSQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL processes to ensure efficient large-scale data processing\nDevelop and optimize data solutions within Azure (Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake, SQL, Databricks)\nLead efforts indata onboarding and implementation, ensuring timely and accurate client data integration\nPartner closely withProfessional Services, Product, DevOps, and Analytics teams to gather requirements and deliver data solutions\nEnsuredata quality, integrity, and validation, including reconciliation and audit processes for healthcare datasets\nImplement and maintaindata governance and compliance standards, including HIPAA and PHI handling requirements\nDesign and documentdata models, mappings, and transformation logic for standardized and reusable data assets\nSupport troubleshooting and resolution ofdata pipeline failures, performance issues, and client-impacting defects\nContribute toprocess improvement initiatives to streamline onboarding, reduce implementation timelines, and enhance data reliability\nMentor junior team members and promotebest practices in data engineering and documentation\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)\n5+ years of experience indata engineering, preferably withinhealthcare or regulated data environments\nStrong proficiency inSQL and T-SQL, with hands-on experience building complex stored procedures and data transformations\nExperience with SQL Server performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies\nStrong Python (or similar programming language) skills\nHands-on experience with Azure data services (e.g., Data Factory, Synapse, Azure SQL, Blob Storage/Data Lake)\nExperience designing and managingETL/ELT workflows and data pipelines\nSolid understanding of healthcare data structures (claims, encounters, provider, member, etc.)\nExperience with data warehousing and modeling (star schema, dimensional modeling)\nFamiliarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (Git)\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience withhealthcare analytics domains such as Risk Adjustment, Quality Measures, or Value-Based Care\nKnowledge ofFHIR, HL7, or other healthcare interoperability standards\nExperience with big data frameworks (e.g., Spark, Databricks)\nExposure toPower BI or other BI/visualization tools\nExperience supportingclient-facing implementations or onboarding projects\nKey Skills\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to data accuracy\nAbility to translate complex healthcare data requirements into scalable solutions\nExcellent communication skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical stakeholders\nHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines\nWhat Success Looks Like\nSuccessful, on-time delivery ofclient data onboarding and implementations\nHigh-performing, reliabledata pipelines with strong data quality controls\nEfficient, well-optimized SQL processes supporting large-scale healthcare datasets\nScalable, reusable data solutions supporting multiple healthcare clients\nImprovedtime-to-value for clients through streamlined processes and automation\nStrong collaboration across teams, with clear ownership and accountability\nBenefits\nVeradigm believes in empowering our associates with the tools and flexibility to bring the best version of themselves to work.
