As the world’s only end-to-end professional services firm focused on MedTech, we take clients’ Vision to Velocity through our comprehensive service portfolio, with expertise in human centered design and product development, preclinical and clinical research, regulatory affairs, and market access and reimbursement consulting. \nAbout This Role:\nVeranex has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Associate Director / Controller, India. You will be part of a team working to improve lives globally through medical technology innovation. The Rev Associate Director / Controller, India is a senior finance leadership role based in Bangalore, India, supporting a global organization with multiple legal entities, a US GAAP consolidated reporting structure, and a Bangalore-based Shared Service Center (SSC) supporting other countries in which the company operates. This individual will serve as the accounting and controllership lead for the India legal entity — which has both local operations and a shared-services mandate for other regions — while also functioning as an Assistant Controller to the Global Controller at Corporate HQ and as a finance partner to the Regional Controller in Europe.\nWhat You Will Do:\nLead, mentor, and manage the Revenue Recognition team, including hiring, performance management, and career development.\nOwn end-to-end revenue recognition processes under ASC 606, including contract review, performance obligation identification, transaction price allocation, and timing of recognition.\nOversee invoicing processes and ensure alignment between billing, contracts, and revenue recognition treatment.\nPartner with Sales, Legal, and Deal Desk teams on contract structuring to ensure appropriate revenue treatment for new and non-standard deals.\nMaintain and update revenue recognition policies, position papers, and technical accounting memos; monitor evolving ASC 606 guidance and assess impact.\nDesign, implement, and monitor internal controls over revenue and invoicing processes (SOX or SOX-like control environment).\nProvide revenue-related analytics and reporting to FP&A, Sales Finance, and executive leadership (e.g., deferred revenue, backlog, billings vs. revenue variance).\nServe as the controller for the India legal entity, which supports both local India operations and shared-service functions for other countries in the global group.\nOwn the full accounting close process for the India entity under US GAAP, with reconciliation to local Indian GAAP (Ind AS) requirements as applicable.\nEnsure accurate, timely month-end and quarter-end close, account reconciliations, and management reporting for the entity.\nOversee local statutory compliance matters in coordination with tax/legal advisors, including statutory audit readiness, GST, TDS, and other India-specific regulatory accounting considerations.\nProvide indirect oversight and quality assurance over accounting operations performed by the Bangalore Shared Service Center on behalf of other legal entities/countries in the group.\nPartner with SSC operational leads to ensure consistent accounting policies, controls, and close calendars across serviced entities.\nIdentify and drive process standardization, automation, and efficiency opportunities across shared-service accounting functions.\nAct as an escalation point for accounting/technical questions arising from SSC-supported entities.\nSupport the Global Controller at Corporate HQ with consolidated US GAAP financial statement preparation, technical accounting research, and group-wide reporting deliverables.\nSupport the Regional Controller, Europe, on entity-level accounting matters, intercompany reconciliations, and regional reporting needs.\nAssist with consolidation processes, elimination entries, and intercompany transaction accounting across multiple legal entities and currencies.\nContribute to group-wide accounting policy consistency and technical accounting positions (e.g., leases, revenue, business combinations) as needed.\nManage and review intercompany transactions, intercompany billing, and related reconciliations across entities and currencies.\nApply working knowledge of transfer pricing principles to ensure intercompany arrangements are appropriately documented and accounted for.\nMonitor foreign currency translation, remeasurement, and related accounting impacts across the entities supported.\nCoordinate with local tax advisors/tax teams on transfer pricing documentation, permanent establishment considerations, and other cross-border tax-accounting intersections.\nLead or support local statutory audits for the India entity and coordinate audit support for other entities serviced by the Bangalore SSC.\nSupport the global US GAAP consolidated audit, including PBC (prepared-by-client) schedules, audit inquiries, and coordination with external auditors (Big Four or equivalent).\nSupport internal and external financial reporting deliverables, including flux analysis, disclosures, and management reporting packages.\nPartner with Internal Audit and Risk teams on control testing, remediation, and continuous improvement of the control environment.\nProvide finance/accounting input relevant to enterprise risk management, including revenue risk, entity-level compliance risk, and financial statement risk — supporting the type of visibility a Chief Risk Officer (CRO) function would require across multiple legal entities/jurisdictions (e.g., control gaps, regulatory exposure, currency/tax risk, audit findings trends).\nAssist in preparing risk-oriented reporting or dashboards that could roll up into enterprise risk or audit committee materials, as needed.\nParticipate in systems and process improvement initiatives (ERP, revenue automation tools, close automation).\nProvide ad hoc analysis and support for M&A integration, new entity setup, or business expansion activities as needed.\n\nQualifications:\nRequired skills:\nChartered Accountant (CA) designation required (ICAI or equivalent recognized qualification).\n8–12+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including demonstrated experience in both revenue recognition (ASC 606) and broader controllership responsibilities.\nMinimum 2–4 years of people management experience, ideally leading a revenue recognition, accounting, or shared-services team.\nStrong working knowledge of US GAAP; experience with revenue automation tools is a plus.\nExcellent communication skills, with demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and cross-culturally with stakeholders in the US, Europe, and Asia.\nWillingness and ability to work occasional off-hours to accommodate meetings with Europe- and US-based stakeholders.\nBig Four public accounting experience (audit or advisory), particularly with technical accounting/ASC 606 exposure, strongly preferred.\nExperience in a technology, SaaS, or services industry with complex, multi-element revenue arrangements.\nPrior experience operating in a dual/matrix reporting structure across global finance organizations.\nExposure to enterprise risk management, internal controls (SOX), or supporting a CRO/risk function in a multi-entity, multi-jurisdictional company.\nMBA, CPA, ACCA, or other complementary certification.\nExperience with entity rationalization, new entity setup, or M&A integration accounting.\n\nPreferred:\nTechnical accounting depth (revenue recognition specifically) combined with broad controllership judgment.\nAbility to operate effectively in ambiguity, across time zones, and within a matrixed reporting environment.\nStrong controls mindset and comfort operating in a highly audited, compliance-driven environment.\nPeople leadership and team development skills.\nExecutive-level communication and the ability to translate technical accounting matters for non-accounting stakeholders.\nComfort balancing hands-on execution with strategic/managerial oversight.\nHybrid role based in Bangalore, India.\nSome early morning or evening calls/work required to align with counterparts in Europe and, at times, the US.\nDomestic or limited international travel may occasionally be required for audits, close activities, or team engagement.","description_format":"text","description_chars":8974,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":8,"management_years_min":2,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"master","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"India","iso":"IN","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":[],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-01T21:34:13Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":30,"band":"fade","label":"Fading","p_open":1,"p_active":0.678,"p_room":0.45,"age_days":56,"expected_fill_days":30,"reasons":["conf:1","win:tail"],"computed_at":"2026-10-12T06:55:09Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/veranex-associate-director-controller-india","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/veranex-associate-director-controller-india.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-12T14:46:11Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":23299,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-13T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":3060711},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=3060711"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fveranex-associate-director-controller-india"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fveranex-associate-director-controller-india"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fveranex-associate-director-controller-india"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/veranex-associate-director-controller-india\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fveranex-associate-director-controller-india"}]}
