Our teams are cross-functional and collaborative, bringing together engineering, product, design, QA, and clinical domain experts to deliver meaningful, real-world impact.\nThis position is open only to candidates currently based in Pune.\nDescription\nWe are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps team. You'll own cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices across AWS, Azure, and GCP, and work closely with engineering, security, and business stakeholders across multiple geographies.\nThis role is as much about people leadership as it is technical depth. We need someone who has already built and led high-performing infrastructure teams - someone comfortable setting direction, developing engineers, managing cross-geography stakeholders, and communicating clearly with leadership.\nResponsibilities\nManage and lead an engineering team building and operating our platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, and site reliability functions.\nProvide technical oversight, architectural direction, and code/design reviews while maintaining the team's technical standards.\nTake responsibility for the professional development of their direct reports\nOwn core cloud platform reliability and disaster recovery, while empowering application teams with the tools, observability, and operational standards needed to own their service health.\nKeep cost efficiency in mind when making infrastructure decisions.\nPartner with stakeholders across geographies and time zones to align on priorities, timelines, and trade-offs.\nSet monitoring and observability standards using telemetry tools to proactively surface and resolve issues.\nDrive automation initiatives that reduce manual toil and improve system reliability.\nOversee design and management of CI/CD pipelines to support reliable, frequent software delivery.\nMaintain team-wide compliance with industry security standards, including HITRUST and SOC 2.\nQualifications\n8+ years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure, or site reliability engineering, including 3+ years in a formal people management role.\nExperience managing distributed or remote teams and stakeholders across multiple geographies.\nStrong hands-on experience with AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCP in a production environment and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform\nIn-depth knowledge of container orchestration, such as Kubernetes, Helm, ECS.\nExperience with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelementry or ELK stack.\nExperience designing CI/CD pipeline, e.g., GitHub Actions, ArgoCD.\nSolid understanding of cloud networking (VPCs, ALB, DNS), IAM access controls, secrets management.\nProficient in Python, bash scripting for task automation and platform tooling\nExperience integrating security practices into the development lifecycle.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills; able to translate technical topics for non-technical audiences.\nBachelor's degree in CS, ECE, or equivalent practical experience.\nNice to have\nExperience with healthcare data infrastructure or compliance frameworks such as HIPAA or HITRUST.\nFamiliarity with AI-first systems or prior experience supporting AI-based workloads.\nWhy Verantos?\nAt Verantos, we're pioneering high-validity RWE that helps understand how patient characteristics and behaviors affect health outcomes - predicting disease progression, treatment response, and adverse event risk.
