This role blends hands-on integration work with real functional fluency in People Operations - you’ll need to understand not just how data moves between systems, but why our stakeholders need it to move that way. You will report to the Director of People Operations, Infrastructure & Services and will be located in one of our hub locations (San Francisco, New York, or Austin).\nWhat you'll do\nHelp us build the future -- build and integrate Vercel-powered internal People tools that will define how this team works, and support our push towards a headless HR tech stack\nBuild, maintain, and troubleshoot Workday integrations (EIB, Core Connectors/Cloud Connect, Workday Studio, APIs) that support key People Operations and Finance workflows.\nPartner directly with People Operations, Finance, IT, and Engineering stakeholders to understand process requirements and translate them into reliable, well-documented integration solutions.\nDevelop working knowledge of core People Operations processes - like hire-to-retire, compensation, benefits, and org management - to inform sound integration and system design decisions.\nMonitor integration health, troubleshoot failures, and drive fixes in partnership with both technical and functional stakeholders.\nMaintain clear documentation of integration logic, field mappings, and processes for cross-team visibility.\nContribute to testing, security, and change-management practices that keep our HR system integrations resilient as we scale.\nWhat you need\nExperience with generative AI and agentic coding platforms \nExcited by headless/composable HR tech - you want to build and integrate tools and APIs that go beyond a core HRIS, not just maintain the status quo.\n4+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining Workday integrations using EIB, Core Connectors/Cloud Connect, Workday Studio, and/or APIs.\nWorking knowledge of XML/XSLT, calculated fields, and the Workday Business Process Framework; exposure to Workday security configuration is a plus.\nGenuine interest in People Operations - you're comfortable learning the functional \"why\" behind a process, not just the technical \"how,\" and enjoy building relationships with People and Finance stakeholders.\nStrong communicator who can translate between technical integration details and non-technical stakeholder needs.\nComfortable owning discrete integration projects independently, with guidance from senior team members on complex or ambiguous problems.\nA plus if you have experience using Workday Extend to build applications.\nCompensation & Benefits:\nCompetitive compensation package, including equity.\nInclusive Healthcare Package.\nLearn and Grow - we provide mentorship and send you to events that help you build your network and skills.\nFlexible Time Off.\nWe will provide you the gear you need to do your role, and a WFH budget for you to outfit your space as needed.\nThe San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is $160,000 - $195,000.
