You will own the Storage product portfolio where applications and agents keep their data on Vercel. That covers Blob for blob storage, Drives for persistent filesystems, and future database and key value storage products. This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco, and you’ll report to the Product Lead.\nIf you’re based within a pre-determined commuting distance of one of our offices (SF, NY, London, or Berlin), the role includes in-office anchor days on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. For location-specific details, please connect with our recruiting team.\nWhat You Will Do:\nOwn the product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for Vercel’s storage portfolio (blob storage, persistent filesystems, database, and key/value storage).\nEnsure storage products integrate seamlessly with the rest of Vercel’s cloud (Functions, backend services, Sandboxes, Daemons) to enable fully functional applications and agents.\nSet and hold the bar for performance, availability, and durability across the portfolio, and make the call when those goals trade off against speed or cost.\nShape pricing and packaging for storage so it scales with customers from hobbyist to large Enterprises.\nPartner with Engineering, Design, and DX to ship primitives that other Vercel product teams build on.\nWork directly with Enterprise customers and the field to unblock adoption on scale, compliance, and data locality and encryption requirements.\nUse usage, performance, and reliability data to decide what to build next and what to stop doing.\nAbout You:\nYou’ve shipped storage, database, or data infrastructure products, such as object storage, relational databases, or key-value stores.\nYou can go deep on each storage solution and their tradeoffs, and explain them clearly to engineers and customers.\nYou’ve owned multiple connected product areas and set direction that other product teams built against.\nYou’ve worked directly with Enterprise customers on data and storage requirements and turned them into roadmap decisions.\nBonus If You:\nHave worked at cloud provider or data storage provider.\nHave an engineering background or have built software yourself.\nHave experience with compliance and security requirements in enterprise procurement.\nCompensation & Benefits:\nCompetitive compensation package, including equity.\nInclusive Healthcare Package.\nLearn and Grow - we provide mentorship and send you to events that help you build your network and skills.\nFlexible Time Off.\nWe will provide you the gear you need to do your role, and a WFH budget for you to outfit your space as needed.\nThe San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is $208,000 - $312,000. Actual salary will be based on job-related skills, experience, and location. Compensation outside of San Francisco may be adjusted based on employee location.
