At Verdantas, your career goes beyond the expected, and your work helps build a better world.\nReady to shape the future of resilient communities?\nWhat You'll Do:\nResponsible for the direct management and supervision of assigned direct reports; lead, mentor, and help grow a team of engineers and designers.\nOversee project workload leveling and assignments to optimize resource utilization.\nMonitor and analyze Group utilization data; implement corrective actions to meet KPIs.\nPartner with Department Leader to set and communicate annual utilization targets for employees.\nEnsure scope, schedule, budget, and quality compliance for projects managed within the Group.\nDrive improvement in project KPIs (e.g., NLM, WIP) and implement best project management practices.\nOversee timely invoicing and financial management of projects; effectively track and stabilize projects, implement solutions to obstacles, and ensure client goals are achieved.\nProvide input into annual salary adjustments and bonus distribution processes.\nCollaborate with National and Area Practice Leaders on resource planning and technical priorities.\nCoordinate with Market Sector Leaders to identify and elevate business development and cross-selling opportunities.\nCommunicate resource needs and workload concerns to Department Leader.\nAttend client meetings and communicate concerns and changes with the client to ensure a positive relationship and growth opportunities.\nPrepare and review preliminary designs.\nPrepare proposals, including budgetary estimates.\nLead the development of plans, specifications, studies, estimates, material lists, and other deliverables.\nEnsure team adherence to QA/QC program.\nWhat You’ll Bring:\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering\nActive Professional Engineer (PE) license\n10+ years of combined engineering and leadership experience in electric distribution engineering, preferably with utility, municipality, or consulting firms\nProficiency in AutoCAD, GIS, CYME, or similar distribution modeling tools\nStrong knowledge of NESC, NEC, RUS, and utility design standards\nExperience with Milsoft WindMil E&A software is a plus\nExperience with O-Calc or PLS-CADD is a plus\nAbility to specify portions of the engineering systems based on past experience\nExcellent communication and leadership skills\nThe ability to work nights and weekends as required to attend meetings or to meet demanding project schedules\nSalary Range:\nStarting at $130,000 annually\nBenefits:\nFlexible Work Environment \nPaid Parental Leave \nMedical \nDental \nVision \nLife and AD&D Insurance \nShort-Term and Long-Term Disability \n401(k) with Company Match \nPaid Time Off + Holidays\nVerdantas strives to develop new ways to increase diversity awareness within our organization.
