Our Beacon, NY office is looking for an Environmental Field Technician who’s eager to support a variety of field-based projects and grow their career while helping improve environmental and human health.\nThis position offers hands-on field experience, exposure to diverse site conditions, and the opportunity to learn from multidisciplinary teams while building a strong foundation in environmental consulting.\nOur teams value curiosity, hands-on experience, and professional development, making Verdantas a place where you can build your skills, grow your career, and feel connected to the purpose behind the work you do.\nWhat You'll Do:\nSample various media, including drinking water, soil, groundwater, concrete, asphalt, surface water, sediment, indoor air, and soil vapor in accordance with standard operating procedures\n\nOperation of various types of field equipment (e.g., water level indicators, turbidity meters, pH and conductivity meters, etc.) in accordance with standard operating procedures\n\nOperation and maintenance of remediation systems, including groundwater extraction, soil vapor extraction systems, and chemical injection systems\n\nCompletion of field documentation in a timely manner, such as job safety analysis (JSA) forms, project field reports, field notes, monitoring, and chain-of-custody forms\n\nPerform scheduled tests, observations, and inspections in accordance with applicable test procedures and project requirements\n\nAssist with field testing to gather data for engineering, hydrogeologic, and scientific evaluations\n\nObserve and document field activities\n\nOperate company vehicles, trailers, and equipment\n\nWhat You Bring:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s Degree, and/or trade school preferred\n\n5 to 10 years of relevant experience\n\nEnvironmental field experience is strongly preferred\n\nExperience working in facilities maintenance, public works, a trade (plumbing, electrical, mechanical, construction, etc.), or similar preferred and considered relevant\n\nStrong mechanical skills and troubleshooting aptitude preferred\n\nMust be able to carry up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 80 lbs. occasionally with or without accommodation, sometimes over substantial distances\n\nOSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and First Aid/CPR training preferred\n\nCapable of working primarily in an outdoor work environment and occasional office environment\n\nMust have a valid driver’s license\n\nMust have own vehicle to travel to and from work sites\n\nSalary Range:\nThe compensation range for this position is $33/ hr - $37/ hr, with final compensation determined based on years of experience, qualifications, and licensing status.\nBenefits:\nFlexible Work Environment \nPaid Parental Leave \nMedical \nDental \nVision \nLife and AD&D Insurance \nShort-Term and Long-Term Disability \n401(k) with Company Match \nPaid Time Off + Holidays\nVerdantas strives to develop new ways to increase diversity awareness within our organization.
