At Verdantas, your career goes beyond the expected, and your work helps build a better world.\nReady to shape the future of resilient communities?\nResponsibilities\nChampion Verdantas’ empathetic, people-focused culture and lead by example in interactions with employees, clients, and partners.\nLead multidisciplinary environmental and water resources projects from planning and field execution through analysis, quality assurance, reporting, and regulatory support.\nDefine project strategies, scopes of work, schedules, budgets, technical requirements, and quality expectations.\nManage project performance by tracking progress, schedules, budgets, deliverables, and other key performance measures.\nBuild and maintain strong client relationships and communicate proactively with clients, project teams, and company leadership.\nPromote a strong safety culture and ensure project teams follow applicable safety procedures and requirements.\nLead wetland, lake, surface-water, and hydrologic assessments; evaluate ecological and hydrologic criteria; and translate findings into defensible water-resource recommendations.\nCoordinate environmental permitting and compliance activities, including Natural Resource Evaluation reports, Environmental Resource Permit applications, Clean Water Act Section 404 permitting, impact evaluations, and mitigation assessments.\nCoordinate with regulatory agencies and provide accurate, timely information following appropriate internal and client review.\nLead technical peer reviews and prepare clear, decision-ready reports, memoranda, presentations, and briefings for clients, agencies, partners, and stakeholders.\nAssign and oversee project work, mentor staff, provide technical guidance, and support team members in meeting project goals.\nDevelop and deliver training for staff and consultants on wetland assessment methods, field procedures, and data-quality objectives.\nCollaborate across disciplines to solve problems, make informed decisions, and achieve project objectives.\nMaintain current knowledge of federal and state regulations applicable to the practice area.\nSupport business development by preparing proposals and marketing plans, participating in industry organizations, and expanding professional relationships.\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related discipline from an accredited institution.\nMinimum of 10 years of professional experience in the environmental industry, including project delivery within environmental services and water resources.\nDemonstrated success in project management, client management, technical leadership, and multidisciplinary team coordination.\nExperience applying federal and state environmental regulations and coordinating with regulatory agencies.\nExperience with wetland and surface-water assessments, hydrologic and ecological data analysis, environmental permitting, mitigation monitoring, and regulatory compliance.\nProficiency with geodatabases, spatial analysis, mobile GIS field workflows, and environmental data quality assurance and quality control.\nAbility to translate complex scientific and regulatory information into clear, decision-ready recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences.\nProven ability to build strong internal and external partnerships, mentor staff, and foster a collaborative team environment.\nServant-leadership mindset that combines empathy with high standards for technical quality and client service.\nProfessional Wetland Scientist certification or a comparable professional credential is preferred.\nSalary Range:\nSalary is commensurate with experience and qualifications of the candidate as it relates to the position description\nBenefits:\nFlexible Work Environment \nPaid Parental Leave \nMedical \nDental \nVision \nLife and AD&D Insurance \nShort-Term and Long-Term Disability \n401(k) with Company Match \nPaid Time Off + Holidays\nVerdantas strives to develop new ways to increase diversity awareness within our organization.
