At Verdantas, your career goes beyond the expected, and your work helps build a better world.\nReady to shape the future of resilient communities?\nSolid Waste Engineering Services\nWe are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Portfolio Manager to support and lead solid waste engineering projects and pursuits across California and the western U.S. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level professional with a strong background in civil or solid waste engineering and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions in the landfill and environmental infrastructure space.\nResponsibilities\nProject Management & Technical Execution \nManage and execute engineering projects related to solid waste facility expansions and closures; infrastructure improvements, and environmental compliance reporting directly to the Principal Engineer.\nLead multi-discipline teams\nOversee field activities including construction quality assurance (CQA) and site observations during landfill construction and closure projects.\nClient Interaction & Team Collaboration\nCoordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to ensure project goals, budgets, and timelines are met.\nDevelop client relationships\nBusiness Development-Support pursuit tracking and proposal development and contribute to business development efforts through technical expertise and client engagement\nHelp develop and expand solid waste services portfolio in central and northern California\nExpand Solid Waste Engineering Capabilities\nExpand solid waste engineering capabilities profile, focusing on Master Planning, Design, and environmental compliance. \nFacilitate growth by supporting strategic talent acquisition and mentorship of junior staff\nQualifications\nEducation & Licensure\nBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering \nCalifornia PE license required; CE licenses in Oregon and Washington desirable.\nMinimum 15 years of experience in civil and environmental engineering with a focus on landfill projects.\nProven experience in landfill expansions and closures\nProject management and client coordination\nWhat We Offer\nOpportunity to manage impactful environmental projects that shape communities and promote sustainability.\nCollaborative team environment with mentorship from industry leaders.\nOpportunity to grow into a leadership position within the company and in the industry.\nSalary Range:\n170,000-195,000\nBenefits:\nFlexible Work Environment \nPaid Parental Leave \nMedical \nDental \nVision \nLife and AD&D Insurance \nShort-Term and Long-Term Disability \n401(k) with Company Match \nPaid Time Off + Holidays\nVerdantas strives to develop new ways to increase diversity awareness within our organization.
