This position manages projects from initial scope development and estimating through field execution and final\ncompletion, ensuring work is performed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements and company standards.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nProject Management\nManage multiple construction projects from planning and mobilization through completion and closeout.\nDevelop project scopes, budgets, schedules, staffing plans, and resource requirements.\nReview contracts, plans, specifications, proposals, purchase orders, and subcontractor agreements.\nDevelop and maintain construction schedules, including milestones, critical activities, mobilization dates, and completion targets.\nMonitor project costs, labor hours, equipment usage, materials, subcontractor expenses, and project profitability.\nIdentify potential cost overruns, schedule impacts, and scope changes early and develop corrective actions.\nPrepare and manage change orders, additional work authorizations, and supporting documentation.\nCoordinate project billing and assist with forecasting, invoicing, and project financial reviews.\nManage project closeout, including final documentation, punch-list activities, client acceptance, and completion records.\nConstruction & Field Operations\nCoordinate daily construction activities with Field Supervisors, Foremen, field crews, subcontractors, and vendors.\nDetermine labor, equipment, material, and subcontractor needs for upcoming work.\nConduct project kickoff meetings, site walks, and regular field visits to verify progress and address changing site conditions.\nReview Daily Field Reports, photographs, production quantities, timesheets, equipment logs, and other construction documentation.\nWork closely with field leadership to identify and resolve constructability issues.\nEnsure completed work meets project plans, specifications, contractual requirements, and quality expectations.\nCoordinate mobilization, equipment, materials, trucking, disposal, subcontractors, and other project logistics.\nEnsure field changes and additional work are properly documented before they affect project cost or schedule.\nSafety & Quality\nPromote a strong safety culture and ensure construction activities comply with company safety policies and applicable regulatory requirements.\nWork with field leadership to conduct pre-job planning and identify project-specific hazards.\nVerify crews have appropriate training, PPE, equipment, and resources to safely perform assigned work.\nParticipate in incident investigations and implementation of corrective actions when necessary.\nEnsure project documentation and deliverables meet established QA/QC requirements.\nClient & Team Management\nServe as the primary point of contact for assigned construction projects.\nMaintain regular communication with clients regarding progress, schedule, budget, field conditions, and upcoming activities.\nCoordinate with client representatives, inspectors, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal project teams.\nLead project and construction coordination meetings.\nDevelop strong client relationships and identify opportunities for repeat or additional work.\nProvide leadership, direction, and mentorship to Field Supervisors, Foremen, and field personnel.\nAssist with estimating, proposal development, scope preparation, and business development activities.\nMinimum Qualifications\nMinimum 5 years of construction-specific experience required.\nDemonstrated experience managing construction projects, field operations, or both.\nExperience managing project budgets, schedules, labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and change orders.\nWorking knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, equipment, and field operations.\nAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and contract documents.\nDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.\nStrong understanding of construction safety requirements and jobsite hazard recognition.\nStrong financial and commercial awareness, including tracking labor and equipment costs, forecasting, and project profitability.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nProficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, and construction/project management software.\nValid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as required.\nSalary Range:\n$117,250-$158,625\nBenefits:\nFlexible Work Environment \nPaid Parental Leave \nMedical \nDental \nVision \nLife and AD&D Insurance \nShort-Term and Long-Term Disability \n401(k) with Company Match \nPaid Time Off + Holidays\nVerdantas strives to develop new ways to increase diversity awareness within our organization.
