This position combines hands-on fieldwork with detailed laboratory analysis, requiring a commitment to precision, safety, and quality standards. You’ll work closely with project managers and team members to deliver reliable data that informs critical engineering decisions, while maintaining equipment and adhering to established protocols. If you enjoy working outdoors, solving problems, and contributing to impactful projects, this role offers an excellent opportunity to grow your skills and make a difference.\nWhat You'll Do:\nCollect soil samples from various field sites using appropriate sampling techniques\nConduct field tests such as soil density, moisture content, and compaction\nPerform laboratory tests, including grain size analysis, Atterberg limits, and soil classification\nRecord and analyze test data, ensuring accuracy and precision\nPrepare detailed reports and documentation of test results\nMaintain and calibrate field and laboratory equipment\nEnsure compliance with safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs)\nAssist in the preparation of project proposals and technical reports\nCommunicate findings and observations to the Project Manager/Supervisor\nParticipate in quality control and quality assurance programs\nWhat You’ll Bring:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent; coursework in geology, civil engineering, or related field is a plus\n0-2 years in construction, geotechnical, or environmental fieldwork; prior exposure to soil testing or materials inspection is desirable\nACI Concrete Certification\nFamiliarity with soil and concrete testing methods\nAbility to read and interpret plans and specifications\nProficiency with MS Word and Excel; comfortable using tablets or digital reporting tools\nComfortable working outdoors in varying conditions and lifting equipment as needed\nKnowledge of health and safety protocols and ability to follow established procedures\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with contractors, surveyors, and project managers\nValid driver’s license and reliable transportation\nFlexibility to travel to project sites and adapt to changing schedules\nAbility to pass drug screening and background check\nSalary Range:\n$23 - $25\nBenefits:\nFlexible Work Environment \n401(k) with Company Match \nVerdantas strives to develop new ways to increase diversity awareness within our organization.
