The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, be comfortable working outdoors, and possess a keen interest in land surveying.\nJoin our team, and your career will be amplified by a culture of empathy, innovation, and life balance, recognized by employees as the top firm to work for in 2025 by Zweig Group!\nWhat You'll Do:\nConduct field surveys using various surveying instruments, such as total stations, GPS receivers, data collectors, drones, and 3D scanners\n\nAccurately measure distances, angles, and elevations to collect essential survey data\n\nOperate and maintain surveying equipment to ensure proper functionality\n\nPerform routine calibrations and adjustments to guarantee the accuracy of measurements\n\nWork closely with the Crew Chief and other team members to execute survey projects efficiently\n\nAssist in setting up and tearing down survey equipment at project sites\n\nDownload and organize collected field data for further processing\n\nAssist in the preparation of survey drawings and reports\n\nAdhere to safety protocols and guidelines during field surveys to prevent accidents and ensure a secure working environment\n\nReport any safety concerns promptly\n\nParticipate in site reconnaissance activities to assess conditions and potential challenges before initiating surveys\n\nMaintain accurate and detailed records of survey activities, measurements, and field notes\n\nAssist in the preparation of project documentation\n\nWhat You Bring:\nAssociate degree or certification in surveying, geomatics, or a related field\n\n0-2 years of experience as a Survey Field Technician\n\nFamiliarity with surveying instruments and equipment\n\nBasic understanding of surveying principles and techniques\n\nCapable of working primarily in an outdoor work environment and occasional office environment\n\nMust be able to carry up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 80 lbs. occasionally with or without accommodation, sometimes over substantial distances\n\nMust have a valid driver’s license.\n\nDrone license is preferred\n\nStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skills\n\nSalary Range:\nThe compensation starts at $24.00 hourly and is based on the experience and licensure.\nBenefits:\nFlexible Work Environment \nPaid Parental Leave \nMedical \nDental \nVision \nLife and AD&D Insurance \nShort-Term and Long-Term Disability \n401(k) with Company Match \nPaid Time Off + Holidays\nVerdantas strives to develop new ways to increase diversity awareness within our organization.
