This is a remote position, with preferred locations in San Diego, CA; Houston, TX; or Denver, CO. The Project Manager will schedule and monitor engineering design activities, coordinate with the client, sell new work, create proposals and change orders, and serve as the primary point of contact for project responsibilities. The position involves managing internal personnel and providing technical expertise to inform decisions about schedule, budget, and scope. Apply today and make a lasting impact.\nWhat You'll Do:\nScheduling \nMonitoring project progress \nCommunication and coordination with the client \nSelling new work and other business development tasks like client outreach \nDrafting proposals for new work \nCreating change orders and tracking project budgets \nResource allocation on the project \nMain point of contact for all engineers, drafters, and designers on the project \nApproving and editing timesheets for all direct reports \nDirecting internal and external meetings pertaining to the project scope/schedule \nWhat You’ll Bring:\nBachelor’s degree in civil/electrical/mechanical engineering\n8-10 years of experience in electric distribution engineering, preferably with utility or consulting firms\n4-5 years of project management experience or lead engineer on a project\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license preferred\nPMP Certification a plus\nExperience working for major Investor-Owned Utilities in the United States \nProficiency in AutoCAD, GIS, CYME, or similar distribution modeling tools\nStrong knowledge of NESC, NEC, and utility design standards\nAbility to specify portions of the engineering systems based on past experience\nExcellent communication and leadership skills\nSalary Range:\nAt Verdantas, we offer comprehensive benefits packages for our employees.
