That combination is the heart of this role. We would rather have one person who can both build a clean interface and make it look and feel right than several who can only do one.\nThe primary focus is the frontend experience of our SaaS platform, including the borrower-facing portal and the operator-facing workflows our lenders use every day. This person will also own Vergent's WordPress marketing website end to end. The platform work is the priority; the website is a core responsibility alongside it.\nWhat you will do\nContribute to and help lead frontend development within the Vergent platform, turning designs and requirements into polished, responsive interfaces\nPartner with Development and Product to improve UI, usability and the overall user experience across the platform\nOwn the development, maintenance and ongoing improvement of Vergent's WordPress website\nBuild and update responsive website pages, landing pages and custom functionality, partnering with Marketing on initiatives and improvements\nIdentify opportunities to improve usability, consistency and visual design across both the product and the website\nTroubleshoot frontend and WordPress issues and maintain website performance\nTake projects from concept through implementation, and collaborate across Development, Product and Marketing to ship them\nRequired\nStrong WordPress development experience\nStrong HTML, CSS and JavaScript skills\nProven experience building responsive, user-friendly interfaces\nA strong understanding of UI and UX principles\nStrong attention to detail and visual consistency\nAbility to take a project from concept through implementation independently\nPreferred\nWordPress development experience, including custom themes and PHP.
