This role requires a seasoned professional with demonstrated experience in source inspection, First Article Inspection (AS9102), process and Quality Management System (QMS) audits, as well as expediting and shipping/receiving operations. The ideal candidate will serve as a key technical resource, ensuring compliance, driving quality improvements, and supporting supplier and internal operations and requires strong expertise in electronics manufacturing processes.\nThe primary focus will be supporting a key supplier specializing in design, development, testing, and manufacturing of Flexible/Righ-Flex Cable Assemblies (PCA), Harness Assemblies, Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA) as well as flex circuit subassemblies/moduls.\nAs such, the ideal candidate will bring a broad, adaptable quality background with experience supporting high reliability electronics.\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform source inspections at supplier facilities to verify product conformity to engineering, contractual, and regulatory requirements\nReview and validate First Article Inspection (FAI) packages in accordance with AS9102 Rev C requirements using NetInspect online platform\nCollaborate in real time with supplier staff to resolve defects in documentation or physical product to ensure timely delivery of product\nConduct process audits to ensure compliance with internal procedures and industry standards (e.g., AS9100, special process)\nSupport expediting activities, including tracking and reporting supplier performance, delivery status, and risk mitigation\nOversee and support shipping and receiving inspections, ensuring proper documentation, traceability, and product integrity\nInterpret engineering drawings, specifications, and purchase order requirements to ensure accurate inspection and compliance\nIdentify nonconformances, document findings, and support corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes\nCollaborate with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement\nMaintain accurate records in web-based databases and ERP systems\nExperience must include; but not limited to:\nElectromechanical assemblies and subassemblies\nDefense electronics, sensors, or control systems\nCable assemblies, harnessing, connectors, and soldering processes\nWelding, assembly, and special processes\nIPC/JSTD working knowledge or previous certification\nCandidate should demonstrate adaptability and the ability to support complex, multi-disciplinary products.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)\n10+ years of experience in quality engineering within aerospace, defense, or a highly regulated manufacturing environment\nDemonstrated experience with:Source inspection(s) for various commodites \nAS9102 First Article Inspection\nProcess audits and QMS audits\nExpediting and supplier performance management\nShipping and receiving inspection processes\n\nStrong knowledge of AS9100 or equivalent QMS standards\nAbility to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications\nProficiency with ERP systems and web-based quality/data management tools\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently\nIPC Certification / Electronics Requirements\nWorking knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, etc.) is required\nCurrent IPC certification is preferred; however, candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain active IPC certifications as required\nDesired Skills & Attributes\nSelf-starter with a high level of initiative and accountability\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nExperience working with distributed teams and supplier networks\nAttention to detail and commitment to accuracy and compliance\nAbility to work in fast-paced, high-visibility customer environments\nCertifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Auditor (CQA) are a plus\nWork Environment & Expectations\nFrequent interaction with suppliers and customers, including potential travel to local or regional suppliers to support inspections and audits\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision\nHigh level of professionalism in representing the organization to external partner\n“We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, political affiliation, marital status, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
