Tackle exciting challenges head-on, overseeing the development life cycle and ensuring seamless execution. Your leadership will drive innovation, foster collaboration, and deliver impactful solutions.. With so many critical and evolving areas, you'll be at the forefront of defining how researchers interact with and secure vast amounts of biomedical data, ensuring our platform remains a leading-edge solution.\nResponsibilities\nLead, manage, and expand a team of 8-10 software engineers.\nDrive project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives.\nFoster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and technical excellence.\nCollaborate cross-functionally to define and execute on the team's strategic goals.\nProvide technical guidance and make critical decisions to meet project milestones.\nQualifications\nMinimum Qualifications\nBA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.\n3+ years of hands-on technical leadership and/or people management experience of a team of at least 5 software engineers.\nProven experience managing software engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.\nDemonstrated success in delivering complex software projects on time and within budget.\nStrong expertise in software development methodologies and best practices.\nPreferred Qualifications\nMaster's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.\nFamiliarity with Agile development methodologies.\nEducation or exposure to healthcare or life sciences, with emphasis on HL7 FHIR or OMOP.\nExperience with cloud computing platforms such as GCP or AWS.\nExperience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).\nProven track record of building and leading high-performing engineering teams.\nThis role is eligible for Verily-sponsored immigration support.\nThe US base salary range for this full-time position is $225,500 -$253,500 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
