We are a team of full-stack and backend developers building an amazing platform that delivers personalized, data driven experiences.\nResponsibilities\nOwn the Full Lifecycle: Design, implement, test, and deploy robust software solutions, ensuring exceptional system performance, security, and scalability.\n\nDrive Technical Direction: Influence the architecture and strategy of one or more core systems, making informed technical trade-offs that align with Verily’s broader business goals.\n\nExecute Independently: Lead feature development from concept to production with minimal supervision, setting clear milestones and managing project timelines effectively.\n\nCollaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with product managers, designers, and peer engineers to translate complex health-tech requirements into seamless user experiences.\n\nSolve Complex Problems: Take ownership of difficult technical challenges, leveraging continuous learning to introduce innovative tools, patterns, and methodologies to the team.\n\nQualifications\nMinimum Qualifications\nBA/BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience in software development.\n\n3+ years experience as a software developer in an industry setting.\n\nAbility to work independently and collaborate effectively.\n\nExpertise in building software and systems on any of: GCP, AWS or Azure (GCP preferred).\n\nExperience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, C/C++, C#, Objective-C, Go, Python, or JavaScript.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nDemonstrated experience with Go, Java, Python, and/or SQL.\n\nProficiency in Apache Beam and its associated technologies for data ingestion and processing.\n\nSolid understanding of ETL principles and best practices.\n\nExperience with designing and implementing scalable data processing pipelines with Bioquery or other analytics-oriented databases.\n\nEducation or exposure to healthcare or life sciences, with emphasis on HL7 FHIR.\n\nQualified applicants must not require employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in the United States.\nCompensation Information\nThe US base salary range for this full-time position is $128,000 - 192,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
