This role focuses on understanding how the business operates, documenting requirements, supporting system enhancements, and helping ensure the right information reaches the right people at the right time.\nWhile technical knowledge is valuable, this is not a highly technical engineering or database administration role. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with data, reports, and enterprise applications while serving as a trusted partner to both business users and IT.\nThis is a contract-to-hire opportunity with one of Arctiq's clients. A candidate must be comfortable working hybrid based in their Alexandria, VA office.\nKey Responsibilities\nBusiness Analysis & Process Improvement\nPartner with business stakeholders to understand operational processes, business challenges, and reporting needs. \nGather, document, and validate business and functional requirements for system enhancements and new initiatives. \nAnalyze existing business processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and data quality. \nFacilitate discussions between business and technical teams to ensure solutions align with business objectives. \nDocument workflows, business rules, and process improvements. \nReporting\nAnalyze existing reports and dashboards to understand how they were built and identify opportunities for improvement. \nReverse engineer legacy reports and collaborate with technical teams to simplify, modernize, or optimize reporting solutions. \nValidate report accuracy and ensure business users receive meaningful, actionable information. \nAssist stakeholders in defining reporting requirements, KPIs, and success metrics\nSupport the development of dashboards and operational reporting using existing BI tools. \nEnterprise Systems Support\nWork across CRM, AMS, ERP, and other enterprise applications to understand how business information flows between systems. \nHelp ensure business data is entered, maintained, and utilized consistently across platforms. \nCollaborate with application owners and technical teams to investigate data discrepancies and recommend process improvements. \nParticipate in system implementations, upgrades, and enhancement projects from a business perspective. \nSupport User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validate solutions against business requirements. \nData Analysis & Decision Support\nUse SQL or other query tools to investigate business questions and validate data when needed. \nAnalyze business data to identify trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities for operational improvement. \nWork with technical teams to ensure reports and integrations support business needs. \nSupport data validation efforts without being responsible for database administration or technical development. \nCross-Functional Collaboration\nBuild strong relationships with business users, application owners, vendors, and IT teams. \nTranslate technical concepts into business-friendly language and communicate business needs to technical teams. \nContribute to documentation, training materials, and process guides. \nPromote collaboration and consensus across multiple departments. \nQualifications\n5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role supporting enterprise business applications. \nProven experience gathering, documenting, and validating business and functional requirements. \nStrong ability to analyze current-state business processes and recommend process improvements that increase efficiency and data accuracy. \nExperience facilitating stakeholder interviews, discovery sessions, workshops, and requirements-gathering meetings. \nDemonstrated ability to translate business needs into clear functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria. \nExperience supporting software implementations, system enhancements, or digital transformation initiatives through the full project lifecycle. \nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex business processes and identify practical solutions. \nAbility to prioritize multiple initiatives while managing changing business priorities and deadlines.\nBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field. \nWorking Conditions:\nFull-time onsite role with onsite and remote collaboration.\nOccasional travel may be required for key partner engagements, pilots, or major program milestones.\nRegular coordination across multiple time zones with internal teams and external partners as needed.\nArctiq is an equal opportunity employer.
