This role combines technical leadership, people management, and hands-on oversight of engineering processes to deliver a scalable, secure, maintainable, and high-quality product.\nThe Software Development Manager owns the engineering delivery, technical quality, release readiness, and production stability of the VeriTouch product. The role works closely with Product Management, Architecture, Quality Engineering, DevOps, and Implementation teams, while customer project delivery remains under the relevant implementation governance structure.\nThe role is responsible for ensuring that engineering practices, technical decisions, development processes, and delivery standards support the product's long-term scalability, maintainability, security, and operational stability.\nThe Software Development Manager works closely with Product Management, Project Management, Solution Architects, Technical Leads, Business Analysts, Quality Engineers, DevOps, and clients to ensure successful technical delivery throughout the software development lifecycle.\nWhat You Will Be Doing\nProduct Engineering & Engineering Leadership\nOwn the engineering delivery lifecycle for VeriTouch, from requirements analysis, estimation, and solution design through development, testing, deployment, release, go-live, warranty, and transition to support.\nLead a high-performing product development team consisting of developers, business analysts, quality engineers, technical leads, and other technical specialists, ensuring effective planning, execution, and delivery.\nEstablish and manage engineering plans, milestones, dependencies, assumptions, risks, acceptance criteria, and resource requirements.\nEnsure development tasks, estimates, engineering plans, and resource allocations are realistic, aligned, and consistent with product priorities.\nMonitor engineering progress through work-management tools and engineering metrics, including backlog health, planned versus completed effort, defect trends, technical debt, cycle time, and deployment readiness.\nIdentify delivery deviations early and lead recovery actions through reprioritization, resource allocation, scope adjustment, process improvement, automation, or timeline reassessment.\nContinuously improve software engineering practices, development standards, quality processes, and governance mechanisms.\nMaintain clear engineering ownership while collaborating with Product Management and Implementation teams to align product priorities with customer and business objectives.\nSolution Design & Technical Governance\nProvide technical leadership across the design and implementation of VeriTouch, Dynamics 365 CE, and Microsoft Power Platform solutions.\nPartner with Solution Architects, Product Management, and business stakeholders to define high-level designs, technical roadmaps, product-level solution designs, and implementation approaches.\nGovern the transition from requirements and Statement of Work through functional requirements, gap analysis, solution design, technical design, development, testing, and deployment where applicable.\nReview technical design documents, integration specifications, data models, security designs, deployment architecture, and non-functional requirements.\nEnsure functional and technical requirements are complete, testable, traceable, and aligned with approved scope and architecture.\nPromote a configuration-first and low-code/no-code approach, using Dynamics 365 out-of-the-box capabilities, Power Platform, and VeriTouch functionality wherever appropriate, and introducing custom development only when technically and functionally justified.\nOversee technical decisions related to technologies including Plugins, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Customer Insights, Copilot, Copilot Studio, Agents, and other relevant Microsoft technologies.\nIdentify design, scope, product capability, and technical gaps and ensure they are addressed through configuration, extension, customization, or formal change control.\nMaintain and promote technical standards, reusable patterns, reference architectures, implementation guidance, accelerators, and engineering documentation.\nRelease, Production & Operational Management\nOwn engineering release readiness and ensure releases meet defined quality, security, performance, and operational standards.\nOwn the production stability of the VeriTouch product and ensure critical production issues are addressed in a timely and structured manner.\nOversee technical debt management and ensure technical debt is identified, prioritized, tracked, and addressed as part of ongoing engineering planning.\nLead or coordinate critical incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and preventive improvement planning.\nEnsure production support findings, recurring defects, and incidents are translated into preventive engineering actions and product improvements.\nEstablish and maintain appropriate release criteria, go/no-go decision processes, rollback procedures, and post-release validation practices.\nPartner with Product Management, QA, DevOps, Architecture, and Implementation teams to ensure production releases are predictable, stable, and sustainable.\nClient, Stakeholder & Delivery Governance\nFunciton as a senior technical contact for clients where engineering leadership or technical governance is required throughout the project lifecycle.\nLead or support discovery workshops, design reviews, technical governance meetings, project boards, steering committees, escalation discussions, and go-live readiness reviews.\nCommunicate technical risks, trade-offs, dependencies, delivery impact, and mitigation options clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nChallenge unsupported, high-risk, or unnecessarily customized requirements and recommend sustainable alternatives.\nEnsure key actions, decisions, assumptions, dependencies, and owners are documented and followed through to closure.\nManage technical escalations constructively while maintaining trusted and professional client relationships.\nWork closely with Project Management on scope, schedule, cost, dependencies, and client governance while maintaining clear ownership of engineering delivery and technical execution.\nEnsure customer project delivery activities remain aligned with the relevant implementation governance structure.\nPresales, Estimation & Project Initiation\nParticipate in presales, discovery, solutioning, and project-initiation activities.\nReview and contribute to RFP/RFI responses, Statements of Work, technical proposals, solution architecture documents, estimates, assumptions, dependencies, and project plans.\nValidate whether requirements can be delivered through Dynamics 365 out-of-the-box capabilities, configuration, Power Platform, VeriTouch product functionality, or custom development.\nEnsure technical estimates are supported by clear and measurable assumptions, including integrations, APIs, entities, fields, workflows, validations, reports, data volumes, and non-functional requirements.\nIdentify scope gaps, exclusions, delivery risks, dependencies, and potential change requests before commercial or delivery commitments are approved.\nSupport technical presentations, solution demonstrations, and clarification sessions with prospects and clients.\nEngineering Quality, ALM & DevOps\nDefine and enforce engineering quality gates across analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and go-live.\nEnsure appropriate unit, integration, regression, performance, security, and non-functional testing is planned and executed.\nOversee code review practices, code-quality standards, static analysis, defect management, and root-cause analysis.\nEstablish and govern ALM, CI/CD, source control, branching, environment management, solution packaging, automated deployment, rollback, and release-control practices across Dynamics 365 and Power Platform development.\nGovern source control,
