We offer a dynamic and flexible work environment with competitive benefits and the ability to grow your career.\nWe are seeking an experienced Senior Storage Engineer to implement, operate, and continuously improve highly available infrastructure supporting mission-critical enterprise allocations and services.\nThe ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in enterprise storage, SAN/NAS technologies, VMware virtualization, Linux, data protection, and disaster recovery/business continuity. This position requires a highly experienced hands-on engineer capable of independently solving complex infrastructure problems and providing technical leadership across multiple technology domains.\nResponsibilities:\nImplement, support, and optimize enterprise infrastructure supporting mission critical applications and services\nEngineer and administer enterprise SAN, NAS, and storage platforms, including block, file, and object storage technologies\nMaintain highly available storage architectures across multiple data centers.\nConfigure, administer, troubleshoot, and optimize Fibre Channel SAN environments, using Brocade switching technology\nSupport enterprise storage platforms such as Dell Powermax, Infinidat Infinibox, VAST Data, or comparable enterprise storage technologies\nSupport VMware vSphere/ESXi infrastructure and its integration with enterprise storage and networking\nSupport Linux-based infrastructure, primarily Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or comparable enterprise\nImplement storage replication snapshots, data protection, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions\nMaintain DR/BCP architectures, procedures, and recovery strategies for critical systems\nPerform capacity planning, performance analysis, forecasting, and infrastructure lifecycle management\nDiagnose complex infrastructure problems spanning storage, SAN, virtualization, operating systems, networking, and applications\nSupport automation and scripting to improve infrastructure deployment, configuration, monitoring, and operational efficiency\nCreate and maintain architecture diagrams, engineering standards, implementation plans, operational procedures, and technical documentation\nCollaborate with application, database, network, security, backup, and infrastructure engineering teams\nProvide technical leadership and mentoring to other engineers and serve as a subject matter expert for enterprise storage and infrastructure technologies\nParticipate in production support and resolution of critical infrastructure incidents as required\nQualifications:\nBachelors degree in engineering or related technical field or equivalent practical experience\n10+ years system and operation engineering experience\nExtensive experience supporting enterprise infrastructure in highly available production environments\nStrong hands-on experience with enterprise SAN and NAS storage technologies\nStrong understanding of enterprise storage concepts including:Block and file storage\nRAID and data protection\nThin Provisioning\nSnapshots and clones\nReplication\nStorage efficiency technologies\nPerformance analysis and optimization\nCapacity management\nMultipathing\nHigh availability and resiliency\n\nExperience administering Fibre Channel SAN fabrics\nStrong understanding of Fibre Channel concepts including zoning, WWNs, multipathing, fabric design, redundancy, and troubleshooting\nExperience with enterprise storage platforms from vendors such as Dell Technologies, Infindat, VAST Data, and Netapp\nStrong experience with VMware vSphere/Esxi and enterprise virtualization environments\nExperience administering and troubleshooting (Linux, AIX)\nExperience designing and supporting backup, recovery, replication, disaster recovery, replication, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions\nDemonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex production infrastructure issues involving multiple technologies and vendors\nExperience with infrastructure capacity planning and performance analysis\nStrong understanding of high-availability and resilient infrastructure design principles\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with engineers, application teams, vendors, and leadership\nExperience with object storage and S3-compatibile storage technologies\nExperience with infrastructure automation using Ansible, REST APIs, and shell scripting\nExperience performing large-scale storage migrations and technology refreshes\nExperience working in environments with strict availability, security, compliance, and change-management requirements\nThis position is based in our Reston, VA office and offers a hybrid work schedule.\nThe pay range is $164,300 - $222,300.\nThe anticipated annual base salary range for this position is noted above, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience.
