This role is responsible for building a secure, reliable, scalable, and supportable MFT service that enables critical business data exchange across the enterprise and with external partners. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in managed file transfer technologies, platform architecture, automation, observability, and production readiness, and can serve as the technical lead for service reliability, engineering standards, and strategic platform evolution.\n Lead the engineering, design, and delivery of the enterprise MFT platform, including secure transfer patterns, workflows, scheduling, encryption, automation, and resilience.\nOwn platform architecture and technical standards to ensure secure, scalable, reliable, and supportable file transfer services.\nDrive modernization initiatives, including automation, self-service capabilities, API enablement, CI/CD integration, and cloud adoption where applicable.\nEstablish and improve observability through dashboards, alerting, logging, service metrics, and reporting to support proactive service management and continuous improvement.\nProvide engineering oversight for service health, escalations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and long-term reliability improvements.\nPartner with operations, infrastructure, security, architecture, and business stakeholders to deliver production-ready solutions and define operational readiness requirements, including runbooks, monitoring, training, and handoff artifacts.\nSupport governance, audit, and risk management activities by ensuring strong technical controls, secure onboarding standards, certificate management, and remediation of platform vulnerabilities.\nAct as the technical lead and subject matter expert for the MFT platform, influencing roadmap, vendor strategy, technical debt reduction, and service-quality outcomes.\nBachelor’s degree in Computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.\n5+ years of hands-on experience in managed file transfer, integration engineering, or platform engineering roles, with demonstrated technical leadership experience.\nStrong experience with MFT platforms such as Axway Secure Transport or similar enterprise file transfer technologies.\nDeep understanding of secure transfer protocols and related technologies, including SFTP, FTPS, AS2, HTTPS, encryption, keys, and certificate management.\nExperience with scripting and automation using Shell, Python, JavaScript or similar tools, along with working knowledge of APIs, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation.\nStrong background in Linux/Unix administration, troubleshooting, and production support for business-critical platforms.\nExperience with observability, service metrics, root cause analysis, and reliability engineering practices.\nKnowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and experience supporting secure, scalable enterprise integrations in hybrid environments.\nStrong communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions and influence decisions.","description_format":"text","description_chars":3273,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":5,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":true},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Data Providers & Datasets","InsurTech"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-05T16:40:56Z"}],"visa":[{"country":"GB","licensed_sponsor":true,"evidence":"Licensed UK visa sponsor (Senior or Specialist Worker, Skilled Worker)","filings_12m":null,"filings_prev_12m":null,"green_card_filings_12m":null,"median_offered_wage_usd":null,"route":"Global Business Mobility: Senior or Specialist Worker;
