We’re looking for an experienced, proactive and resourceful communicator to join Verisk’s external communications team and tell the company’s story across business, trade, and international media outlets. The right candidate will be highly experienced in and passionate about storytelling and media relations, and the impact communications can have on a company’s reputation, culture and revenue. The role is well-suited to a professional who is highly organized, proactive, and curious, and who brings a thoughtful, team-oriented approach to their work.

- Create and execute proactive public relations strategies, helping identify and develop stories that align with business objectives, resonate with target audiences and build the company’s reputation.
- Build relationships with reporters and media outlets across North America and Europe, securing earned media coverage that increases awareness of Verisk's expertise, subject-matter experts, data, and innovation.
- Develop communications materials including press releases, media pitches, briefing documents, FAQs, thought leadership content, award submissions, speaking materials, and executive talking points.
- Support media engagements and inquiries by preparing and media training executives and subject-matter experts, while serving as a responsive point of contact for reporters.
- Maintain media intelligence, planning resources, and digital communications assets, including the company newsroom.
- Measure and report on communications activities, analyzing results and sharing insights with stakeholders.
- 10+ years of experience in public relations or media relations.
- Experience supporting communications programs for multinational organizations and collaborating across geographies, cultures, and time zones.
- Demonstrated success developing and executing earned media strategies that support business objectives.
- Strong understanding of the media landscape, sound news judgment, and experience developing stories that resonate with target audiences.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing materials for reporters, executives, and other stakeholders.
- Experience measuring communications performance and using data, insights, and emerging technologies, including AI tools, to inform strategy and improve workflows.
- Strong organizational, project management, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced English proficiency, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree.
