If you are passionate about automation, infrastructure as code, and continuous improvement - and want to work at the heart of a fast-moving, cloud-native engineering organisation - this is the role for you.\nCI/CD & Delivery Automation\nDesign, build, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines to support the reliable and repeatable deployment of applications across all development squads.\nOwn and continuously improve the end-to-end build, test, and release automation toolchain, reducing manual effort and increasing deployment confidence.\nWork with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and TeamCity to manage pipeline configuration, build agents, and release orchestration.\nCollaborate closely with development teams to embed DevOps best practices early in the software lifecycle, from branch strategy through to production release.\nInfrastructure as Code & Cloud Architecture\nDevelop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation, CDK, or Terraform - ensuring all infrastructure is version-controlled, reproducible, and auditable.\nDesign and implement highly available, resilient, and cost-effective AWS architectures that meet the performance and reliability requirements of our insurance products.\nContribute to the central cloud architecture team, helping to define and enforce cloud standards, patterns, and guardrails across the engineering estate.\nHelp develop project specifications and implementation plans for new infrastructure initiatives, working alongside architects, Tech Leads, and engineering stakeholders.\nProvide configuration recommendations and hands-on assistance to development squads, ensuring consistent and secure environment management across all tiers.\nContainers & Platform Engineering\nBuild, manage, and optimise containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes, supporting both development environments and production deployments.\nSupport the adoption and evolution of container orchestration practices across squads, helping teams move confidently to modern, cloud-native deployment patterns.\nContribute to platform tooling and shared services that reduce friction for development teams and promote self-service infrastructure provisioning.\nMonitoring, Observability & Support\nDesign and implement monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions across production and pre-production environments, ensuring issues are detected and surfaced quickly.\nProvide proactive support for production environments, responding to incidents, performing root cause analysis, and implementing preventative measures to avoid recurrence.\nProvide off-hours support for mission-critical issues as required, contributing to on-call rotations and maintaining agreed service levels.\nProduce and maintain runbooks, operational guides, and documentation to support consistent incident response and knowledge sharing across the team.\nContinuous Improvement & Collaboration\nRecommend and champion solutions aligned with business requirements, balancing technical excellence with pragmatic delivery.\nBring a strong continuous-improvement mindset to all aspects of the role - proactively identifying inefficiencies in pipelines, infrastructure, and processes and driving them to resolution.\nParticipate in Agile ceremonies alongside the development squads, contributing to sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog refinement using JIRA and Azure DevOps.\nStay current with emerging cloud technologies, DevOps tooling, and AWS service releases, advocating for adoption where they deliver tangible value.\nProven hands-on experience in a DevOps or cloud engineering role, with a strong focus on AWS and cloud-native architectures.\nSolid experience with Infrastructure as Code tooling - CloudFormation, AWS CDK, or Terraform - in a production environment.\nDemonstrable experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using one or more of: Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or TeamCity.\nStrong working knowledge of containerisation technologies, particularly Docker and Kubernetes.\nDevelopment experience, with proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and tooling;
