software is delivered.\nYou will work with technologies such as:\nAWS Lambda, Step Functions and API Gateway\n.NET-based microservices\nRESTful APIs and shared platform services\nEvent-driven integrations\nCI/CD pipelines and automated deployments\nScalable SaaS systems used across the UK insurance market\nThe work you contribute to will help insurers process claims faster, improve decision making and deliver better outcomes for customers.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign and develop cloud-native SaaS applications and shared platform services\nBuild scalable microservices and serverless components using modern development practices\nDevelop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrations with internal systems and third-party platforms\nContribute to the design and evolution of distributed and event-driven architectures\nWork across new product development, enhancements and platform evolution\nParticipate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups and retrospectives\nCollaborate with Product Managers to refine requirements, estimate work and deliver features iteratively\nImplement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes\nInvestigate and resolve production issues, providing third-level technical support where required\nProduce and maintain technical documentation and architectural artefacts\nContribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices, tooling and platform reliability\nQualifications\nEssential Requirements\n3+ years professional experience building commercial software systems\nStrong experience developing server-side applications using C# and .NET Core\nExperience designing and building RESTful APIs and JSON-based integrations\nExperience working with SQL databases (Microsoft SQL Server or PostgreSQL preferred)\nExperience building or deploying applications on AWS cloud infrastructure\nFamiliarity with microservices or distributed system architecture\nExperience using Git or modern source control systems\nExperience working with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments, such as ADO\nExperience using Visual Studio or equivalent development environments\nA passion for technology and a desire to continuously learn and improve\nHighly Desirable\nExperience working with AWS serverless services (Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway)\nFront-end development experience with Vue.js, React, Angular or modern JavaScript frameworks\nExperience working within Agile / Scrum development environments\nKnowledge of event-driven architecture or message bus technologies\nExperience implementing Test-Driven Development (TDD)\nUnderstanding of software design patterns and clean architecture principles\nExperience building microservices-based platforms\nFamiliarity with AI development tools or AI-assisted engineering workflows\nKnowledge of Low Code / No Code platforms\nExperience working within the insurance or financial services
