web and mobile product experiences, from early concepts through implementation.\n\nTranslate user needs, business requirements, domain workflows, and technical constraints into clear user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.\n\nUse AI-assisted tools to explore design concepts and iterate on early prototypes more efficiently, while applying human judgment, validating ideas against user needs, and following company policies for responsible AI use and data protection.\n\nParticipate in product discovery and user research activities, including interview support, note-taking, synthesis, workflow analysis, and usability testing.\n\nApply Verisk design-system components, established interaction patterns, responsive-design principles, and accessibility standards to design work.\n\nCollaborate closely with product managers, engineers, designers, researchers, customers, and subject-matter experts to refine problems and deliver feasible solutions.\n\nUse prototypes and design artifacts to communicate interaction behavior, test assumptions, gather feedback, and support implementation.\n\nParticipate in design reviews, explain design decisions, incorporate feedback, and iterate toward usable and consistent outcomes.\n\nContribute to design documentation, reusable patterns, shared libraries, and team practices that improve quality and consistency across products.\n\nBuild knowledge of assigned products, customer personas, and common industry workflows so design decisions reflect the realities of users’ work.\n\nStay curious about evolving UX practices, accessibility, AI-assisted workflows, and emerging interaction patterns, and apply relevant learning with appropriate guidance.\n\nWhat Success Looks Like:\nYou ask thoughtful design principles, usability heuristics, interaction design, and information hierarchy.\n\nAbility to create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and interface designs using Figma or a comparable design tool.\n\nAwareness of responsive design, inclusive design, and accessibility practices, including WCAG guidance.\n\nAbility to communicate clearly, collaborate across disciplines, receive feedback constructively, and follow through on assigned work.\n\nExposure to user research methods such as interviews, surveys, workflow observation, or usability testing.\n\nAbility to organize work, manage details, and contribute effectively when requirements or product constraints evolve.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n2-3 years of professional experience in UX design, product design, or a closely related role preferred.\n\nBachelor’s degree in design, human-computer interaction, psychology, computer science, information science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.\n\nExperience designing responsive web or mobile applications in a product-development environment.\n\nExperience working with a design system or creating reusable components and documented interaction patterns.\n\nExperience preparing or supporting usability studies and applying findings to design iterations.\n\nFamiliarity with insurance, property, construction, restoration, estimating, or other complex business workflows.\n\nExperience using AI-assisted tools to support research synthesis, ideation, prototyping, content, or documentation while reviewing outputs for accuracy and quality.\n\nPrototyping experience beyond static screens, using Figma prototyping, Framer, AI code-assisted tools, or comparable
