The ideal candidate should be hands-on with building scalable, reliable backend systems and should be comfortable making architectural decisions, designing APIs, working with databases, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.js.\n\n- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.\n\n- Participate in architecture and system design discussions and contribute to technical decisions.\n\n- Design solutions keeping scalability, performance, reliability, and maintainability in mind.\n\n- Work with databases, caching, queues, and other backend infrastructure as required.\n\n- Identify performance bottlenecks and improve application efficiency.\n\n- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested, and production-ready code.\n\n- Implement appropriate error handling, logging, monitoring, and security practices.\n\n- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.\n\n- Troubleshoot production issues and provide effective long-term solutions.\n\n- Mentor junior developers and contribute to improving the overall engineering quality.\n\nRequired Skills & Experience:\n\n- 4+ years of professional experience in backend development.\n\n- Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.\n\n- Strong understanding of REST APIs, API design, authentication, authorization, and backend architecture.\n\n- Good understanding of System Design / HLD and LLD concepts.\n\n- Experience designing and building scalable and high-performance backend services.\n\n- Good knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.\n\n- Understanding of Redis/caching, message queues, asynchronous processing, and event-driven architecture.\n\n- Familiarity with Git and standard software development practices.\n\n- Good understanding of debugging, performance optimization, and production troubleshooting.\n\nGood to Have:\n\n- Experience with AWS / Azure / GCP.\n\n- Hands-on experience with Docker and CI/CD.\n\n- Exposure to microservices architecture.\n\n- Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging systems.\n\n- Knowledge of observability tools, monitoring, and distributed systems.\n\n- Experience owning backend modules/services end-to-end.\n\nWhat We're Looking For:\n\n- We are looking for someone who is not just an API developer but can understand the bigger picture -
